It's a pity about Sakho. I understand why Klopp has frozen him out but boy we could have done with him today. I love Lucas but he is not a centre back.
    I love Sarah

This was ****in ****, I still can't get over it.
The injuries seem to be piling up and we're losing points in what we though would be our easiest run in 2016.

We need like two or three players in January.

This is what we have to keep remembering. We have a great opportunity to have a crack at winning it but top four is the benchmark.

We're playing Lucas in the PL, and we're playing him at CB. We don't have the squad to keep up with Chelsea and take on injuries so we do need to buy.

But as has been said, top four is progress so we can't be too disappointed as long as we get it.

Football is a funny old game. Today was a funny old game.

Next up is West Ham at Anfield.

EVERY team will have a few **** games in a season. It's nearly Christmas and we've only had two.

We're a point away from Arsenal who have Stoke, Everton and Man City to play and ahead on goal difference from City who have key players missing against Leicester, Watford and Arsenal.

Over the last ten games here are the points accumulated -

            Chelsea - 24
            Arsenal - 24
            Liverpool - 23
            Man City - 18
            Tottenham - 19

Chelsea play Sunderland, Palace and Bournemouth, all of which had very morale boosting victories this week (yeah including Chelsea).

            Should be an interesting month!

You couldn't ask for a better bounce back game than West Ham. We should win that without getting out of third gear.

Today was always a tricky fixture but we should've seen it out, of course. That midfield lost all shape after Mane went off.

Squad needa improving in January though. That bench was not close to a title winning one or a top 4 one.

Absolutely. That second half was a horror show but we all know this team is a work in progress and we'll learn a lot about them from their reaction to this which is hopefully similar to how we did after the Burnley defeat.

Karius was certainly doing his best Mignolet impression today, such a shame we haven't got a solid, reliable, older no.1 for the lad to have played second fiddle to for a year or so before getting his chance. As it is we might as well persevere seeing as we know Mig isn't going to get any better, but bloody hell wouldn't it be nice to have a keeper at some point who actually wins us games rather than contributing to losses?

We lost today because we thought it was easy and we didn't kill them off, we had them on the rack first half and we took the foot off the gas and let them back in. You have to be on it every minute of every game, winning while never getting our of third gear just doesn't happen in this league these days, even the ****test teams can punish you. Bournemouth got battered by Arsenal last week yet beat us this, West Ham got battered by Arsenal yesterday but took a point at old Trafford on last week. It's far from a gimme.

The last 15 mins were disappointing and back to the bad old ways with calamity at the back but to be honest when they scored to make it 2-1 I thought we'd win 3 or 4 one. Even when they made it 3 all I still thought we'd win - these time of performances were common last season and we've had two in almost 20 games this year so that is progress.

When it mattered in the 'big' games this year (United aside) we have delivered inc Spurs away where I thought we were excellent. The team is in the up and will continue to get better and more consistent. Any of us would have biten your hand off for where we are now with a third of the season to go and everything still to play for.

We do need to strengthen in Jan - Coutinho, Lallana, Sturridge were all out from the front line and Firmino had a poor game and we won't always get 3 goals missing them. Lovren is not good enough to be our long term CB - he is still too rash and costs goals with his mistakes. It's a sad indictment of the Sakho situation that Lovren and Lucas were our CBs today and we need better in this area i.e. A long term partner for Matip that we can have for the next 5 years. Great sides have always had stong CB partnerships - Terry & Carvalho, Hyppia and Henchoz, Vidic and Wio etc.

I'm still postive but today was a kick in the balls - no question about that. Was unapproachable for a good 30 mins after the game!
Did you really think that? I thought that we were poor from the point that we went 2-0, I thought at that point we stopped playing as the players had assumed that the game was won. When they scored to make it 2-1 I thought that if we didn't step it up we wouldn't win the game. Before I could type that in the match thread Can scored to make it 3-1 and I thought we might realise that we were in a game but at the point we seemed to become complacent again when they made it 3-2 I knew we wouldn't win (I assumed a 3-3 draw like the Palace game from 13-14) for me you could see it coming a mile off.

I've seen a number of people say we only played badly for 15/20mins or when Mane went off, but for me we only played well for the first ~25mins and were poor for the rest of the game, am I just seeing this differently from everyone else?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I can only presume you haven't watched West Ham of late, their in the position they are in the league as they're all over the shop at the back. If they play anything like have been our cup squad will beat them. Their possibly the worst team in the league. The mancs should have beat them but their experts in snatching draws from wins these days.

Arsenal were given a stern test against Bournemouth, they certainly didn't in no way whatsoever get battered.

Today was always going to be a difficult test but I'll be worried if we don't comfortably win against West ham. Especially after the cluster**** of today.

My point is you think we can swan in and win the game with minimal effort and that just doesn't happen in this league. We'll certainly win if we apply ourselves properly for the whole game unlike today.

I think that was our problem today, we went 2-0 up and got complacent assuming the game was won and we got sloppy and lost the game.

Lovren was **** today. I like the guy but I can see why we are rumoured to be after a new central defender.

Why? Because he had a bad game? Are we after a new manager too?
