Hahaha this is getting a bit desperate. I didn't say we dominate every minute of every game did I?

Fancy getting all upset that the team got a bit of praise and now you are throwing insults around and frantically googling Klopp quotes to try and find something to prove you right instead of just basking in a derby win. Utterly, utterly miserable.

Both of you give it a rest now please. No one cares that you fancy each other. Do it over PM or something.
        *Except Michael, who died.

I said earlier that I was pleased with the result I just picked up on your point about our midfield dominating every game which we just dont do

They are two very different points
Passing the ball along the back line gets the stats up and skews the possession

I felt we were lacking control in the first half for sure ,

But second were more into the game but felt Lallana and firmino were in wrong areas and Henderson dropping back all the time for the ball costs us some attacking impetus

Everton were playing a boom/bust strategy, they were always likely to blow themselves out by half time the way they approached the game. Liverpool just needed to still be in the game and surely enough, they dropped off the pace and started to get pushed back in on themselves with just the odd foray up field. Look at Aaron Lennon's average playing position - he was playing as an aux left back. In the end Koeman was hoping for a heroic draw at home happily their lack of ambition was not rewarded.

Only just really noticed how badly we got stitched up on the coming fixtures. Obviously I knew about us having Sunderland barely after we've finished warming down v City but Chelsea and others getting such an advantage is dreadful. Southampton's is actually ****ing disgusting and ours not much better.

I actually think them losing McCarthy was massive

I am not saying that we wouldnt have come back into the game but him getting injured definitely helped us as Barry is nowhere near as mobile so gave us more space in the midfield

McCarthy got injured in the 39th, we'd taken over long before then and should have scored minutes earlier. They are deluding themselves today that losing him made all the difference but they were punched out before that injury.

Just has a cheeky look at one of the Everton forums and one of the lads broke his tablet screen chucking it on the floor when we scored. I shouldn't laugh but

I thought they bossed it for 25 minutes and we slowly came into it as the half wore on. It wasnt like a like light switch us going from not being good to being brilliant it was gradual over the last 20 minutes

Second half we had much more freedom in midfield and were by far the better team

Theres no doubt they are a better side with McCarthy in there instead of Barry.

Would it have made a difference - who knows

                              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Everton's overly defensive display showed how much respect teams have for us nowadays. Despite riding the crest of beating Arsenal only a handful of days earlier, they didn't risk the same tactics against us. Lecter, that's a form of control before a ball is even kicked.
