Thought we were better today
More tempo about our pressing and passing today not perfect by any stretch but better than it has been
I had a hint we would get a result todayBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Opinions on Wijnauldum? I know you don't rate him as a footballer.Originally posted by Lecter View PostThought we were better today

Had to laugh at Clattenburg turning down Milner's penalty appeal (and rightly so) then given them a free kick for exactly the same thing not even 2 seconds later. Kinda summed up us and officials right now. Not sure what we've done to annoy them so much but it'd be nice if our games were officiated fairly from here on in.

I'm not upset. I couldn't care less. It's a mundane argument. Passing percentages of a opposition player over a season.Originally posted by Chris View Post
Indeed. Weird post. Think he's a bit upset his made up stat was shown to be a load of ****.
And over a season 88% is not bad in my book especially if he's knocking out the occasional 60 if the above is right.

Clattenburg was diabolical this evening. He'd have been as well flipping a coin for decisions.Originally posted by Chris View PostHad to laugh at Clattenburg turning down Milner's penalty appeal (and rightly so) then given them a free kick for exactly the same thing not even 2 seconds later. We played well in our previous games. Controlling possession to the extent we have tells me that performance is not the main issue. It's not having a finisher playing that's hurt us. Sturridge hasn't been up to it. Origi & Firmino's form has also been off. The oppo have sat deep and crowded out central areas, which proved hard to get through but not impossible as we created enough chances to win some of those games. Vs Chelsea they came to play football so there was space behind them and not soo crowded out. I feel when a team sits back and hits us on the break, it's easy for them to run through unchallanged as our whole teams positioning is closer to their half and we've not got extra bodies behind the ball. In both instances, a better finisher would have served us well.

Glenn Hoddle is a cuntOriginally posted by RichC View Post
Thought we were good for the most part tonight but we've got an annoying habit of giving stupid cheap chances away. Chelsea created **** all for 90 minutes bar what we gave them from stupid lapses.
The fawning over Chelsea tonight was ludicrousI love Sarah

Controlling possession means very little (as results have shown) unless you are Brendan or Fredo
It's what you do with that possession that counts knocking it sideways slowly is pointless and ultimately fruitless
I would rather have less possession move it more quickly and create chances
To me it's very noticeable that most of the chances and our goals have come from when we switch the play quickly and get the ball into wide areasBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I would swap him for any one of Henderson, Wijnaldum or CanOriginally posted by Fredo View PostSo would you swap him for Henderson? He plays with another holding player (Matic) while we play with one.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life.
