What I see is that we try and set a tempo but teams sit team and pack the middle third and we just make mistakes and make bad decisions with our passing which results in us trying to be too cautious as a result. We're not brave enough.

Too many slow or out of form players in the starting eleven.

Wijnaldum offers more speed of thought than Can, who slows us down so much. I don't see what he is offering - he's not particularly great defensively, has no pace, isn't creative and doesn't score goals. Yes, he came off today but the whole shape of the team was changed. That change alone would help a lot.

Firmino is massively out of form but gets picked which imo is doing him or us no favours. For all his faults, I'd give Sturridge a go - Firmino is praised for his defensive chasing, but he's not scoring and we're conceding so a change is needed there imo. Sturridge can't make things any worse and might actually get a few shots on target. Probably reintegrate Karius too.

We've not got a big enough squad, but a couple of tweaks could help substantially.

Both slow, both want too much time on the ball both don't win enough possession

The only thing I like about Wijnaldum is some of the positions he takes up

Agree with the last sentence. Too many of this side hide and or take the easy option particularly the 3 midfiedlers Henderson Can & Wijnaldum

We definitely need a better midfield if Klopp wants to play that way. And more pace upfront, especially in the wide areas. Then we'll have more variety and have the ability to even play on the counter.

Firmino and Mane had moments where they showed their skill but toothless besides that.

Out of those four I think Wijnaldum is the best on the ball - and Henderson is the best at regaining possession out of our options alongside Llallana who cant be dropped.

Fwiw Firmino worked harder than anyone on the pitch today and despite being out of form is still our best striker. Ideallly we need a pacy forward up there.

the crazy thing is we are still only 3 points off 2nd at worse after the weekend. Unfortunately we look that bad i would agree!!

If the last 9 or 10 games haven't shown how paramount it is for a new GK, CB & HM I don't think anything ever will.
