So predictable wasn't it, watching at home , see Vardy fired up and Leicester chomping at the bit, five minutes gone and knew we were gonna lose.Originally posted by PTP View Post
the second Vardy hit Mane hard in the first minute the whole team **** their pants.
Wouldn't have happened with a Gerrard/Mascherano/Hyppia/Carragher/Suarez in the side - a leader who would said right you *******s have one back, you want to get stuck in, so will I.
We are a team of fannies. Who scares you in that side? - If I was a pro, i'd be licking my lips playing against Liverpool - ball is bobbling towards you, difficult to control etc, but you wouldn't be arsed because you know no-ones coming in and smashing u up.

In any line of work or business, if things are going well, you don't rest on your laurels and in fact try to advance to gain even more of an advantage over the competition. PSG went and purchased Draxler in Jan and low and behold he gets two against Barca. That's what I've been taught anyway.
It's difficult to get the right player in but, if the intention is there, it can still work in bringing a positive influence into the side. I don't think we were even looking in Jan and our players now have become too complacent.
part of me wonders if it's totally deflated the team/staff too?
Theyre not stupid - Klopp and the players would have known in October/December "we are playing well here, but we are bit light in a couple of areas, strengthen there and we could really kick on" - and it's almost like someone has said...no we have no money you're on your own and have to make do with whats here
and everyone just gone ah **** it
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

But we (when I say we I mean klopp/fsg) need to be prepared to spend the money required.....if Klopp knows which left back it is he wants...we have to go and get him - if Klopp thinks he's only worth £10m but the selling club want £15m - we either find another £10m left back, accept we have to pay the £15m for him, or if we are prepared to pay the £15m, see if there is another left back for that money that is better.
Don't just go well there is no value there so we won't sign anyone.
the market is **** - but we've got to accept that's the case and crack on.
Just off the top off my head - we have to be prepared to go
GK - up to £25m
LB - up to £20m
Cb - up to £25m
Cm - up to £40m
CF - up to £50m.
Obviously, we might find a lb we want for 10m or a striker for £30m etc - but in my eyes that's rough figures of what we should be looking at spending in the summer - £160m or so on the right players in the right positions will sort this side out.
I agree with all of that.
I'm not that interested in us competing with City, Utd and Chelsea in transfers for the likes of Pogba. But I'm also not that interested in us turning down a good signing because the selling club are hard balling us for an extra £5m.Modifying post.

well that was kinda my point - if they aren't prepared to do it (both klopp/fsg)Originally posted by Bender View PostDon't think FSG will sanction signings at £40 million and above and Klopp has gone on record to say he won't pay silly money and he knows he has to work within a budget.Problem these days is transfer fees are absurd.
then they need to come out and say to the fans.....this is the situation.....we've got a decent stadium now with the new stand. We are going to develop a team of young/hungry scousers, that we can all get behind and enjoy supporting - but forgot about us challenging for titles because aren't going to.
but yeah someone needs to wake up - whether its klopp or fsg - the transfer market is absurd. ridiculous fees and wages. But that's how it is, it's not changing - so you either get on board or you continue to fall further behindi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

If FSG aren't prepared to do so or Klopp doesn't want to it - well i'd rather they just came out and said - sorry guys....this is all we can do money wise - forget about challenging, so what we are going to do is develop a team of 11 scousers through the academy, we won't ever be consistent winners but at least we will have a team we will all get behind and enjoy watching and every now and then we pick up a trophy of some description
time to stop ****ing about and back the manager they wanted in charge. Sick of this sell to buy nonsense we've been putting up with. We are never going to challenge for the huge names but there are so many quality players out there that will be overpriced but **** it. Who is to say that player won't be the difference between 4th and 5th spot.
If FSG have any notion of mounting a sustained and consistent title challenge and winning things (which is the aim of all clubs) with one of footballs biggest brands..... they need to realise that cannot be achieved by just developing youth and selling to buy. It will not work. Ante up and back the manager ffs.Last edited by danperkins; 28-02-17, 04:35 PM.

More a damning state of LFC rather than those teams appointing new managers, player for player they shouldn't come close to beating us,but they did and quite easily.....And even the energy of Klopp couldn't have an effect on the team.Originally posted by red g View PostSick of teams sacking Managers just before we play them, Thats Leicester, Hull & Swansea now who have all won with the New manager uplift.
Why always us
