Sounds to me like it is Robertson who wants the move, not us wanting to move him on. If we can get Tsimikas back as cover, then let Robbo have his move. He wants to play more, that's fine. If we can't get cover back, then Robbo can be counted upon to be professional, but he obviously isn't keen on kicking his heels on the bench, especially in a world cup year.

100%. People complicate a pretty simple game. Why have the ball if you do nothing with it? Control? Yeah we never have that.Originally posted by peterbread View PostI’m sick of XG. Maybe it’s overly simplified but if you watch a match you can tell what type of chances the team creates. Did the keeper have to actually make any saves, did you think oh he should have scored there or is it just a half chance or a hit and hope which seems to be a lot of what the team is doing right now.
It’s the same obsession with possession for the sake of it. I don’t care if the team has 20% it’s what you do with it. Make it count. We aren’t blind we’ve watched football for a while and we know what real chances are.

Hardly a secret that he is interested in a move away, just as it is no secret he is the sort of professional that will do his job even if he has to wait until the summer for his move.
Think Robertson is one of the best examples of just how hard it is for some people to be at the club since Jota's passing.
Imo Robertson is heartbroken at the loss of his friend and, again imo, the constant reminders are difficult to deal with.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeas, I think that does apply to quite a few at the club who knew him well, he was a big part of that "team" vibe, and it is still only 6 months since his passing, and every day there are reminders around that won't let the mind forget.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostThink Robertson is one of the best examples of just how hard it is for some people to be at the club since Jota's passing.

I know the players speak about "is it healthy to have these reminders around?" but I imagine nobody wants to be that person, the one that speaks up, especially if others don't share the sentiment.
A clean break could probably do a lot of good for some of the players mentally.

Problem solved, it might create another problem where we have no midfielders to play in midfield but we can deal with that later, maybe we have som forwards who can play there...Originally posted by Charly View PostWe should just let him leave. We have plenty more midfielders we can play in defence...

Who have we got fit defender wise? VVD, Kerkez, Robertson and Ramsay? Ramsay isn't in the CL squad though is he that's why he's not involved todayOriginally posted by Scratch View PostWonder if Robbo could play right back for a spell?
Could play him at CB and just about put a defence of defenders out for 45mins before Ramsay gets knackered and we put midfielder at RB
