Same. Maybe they have been a thing for a while and I have just not noticed them as they were happening at other clubs, but very much seems to have become a thing with us in recent years.
Though I suppose in the case of Robertson he has cleared up any questions with regards to whether he would sign a new deal or not with his statement.
Still remember his emotional interview when he was away with Scotland so think he is one of those that simply needs to move from the club in order to get closure, or begin the process to get some, with regards to Jota.
Regardless of why he is leaving, he goes down as a LFC great and hope he has nothing but good things ahead of him in his life.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

not having that Doc - Hansen was immense, better than Lawro IMOOriginally posted by Doc_Piptorious View Post
Yep Maldini would be number one for me, but Robertson would be in the next tier along with Lizarazu, Brehme, Marcelo and Abidal.
At Liverpool, he is head and shoulders the best left back I have seen and is in my top three LFC Scots. ( Souness, Dalglish and Robertson - Rated for on pitch stuff only)
Have him ahead of Hansen as Robertson was the best ever for us in his position for me whereas Jockey was second best, imo of course, in his position for us.
Everyone forgetting about Barney Rubble, class left back in his dayI make no apologies, this is me

I think Hansen was better than Lawro too
I just think VVD has been the best CB, the most complete CB, that I have seen play for Liverpool with Hansen coming number two to him.
Am sure plenty will see Hansen as our best ever.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think if Virg had stepped out a lot more that I would agree with you, I thought Hansen was more cultured with the b allOriginally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostI think Hansen was better than Lawro too

Might want to go live in London for a bit.
Think he will do well no matter where he goes. Might not be the power he once was at LB, but still more than good enough to be a stand out player at a level below where we hope to get back to as a club.
Do think he might do really well with the right club in Itlay or Spain too. Think he would do really well at Atletico Madrid but would the world be ready for Robertson in a Simeone team?

No mention of Steve Nicol but perhaps he was more utility rather than an out and out LB. Brehme is a great shout and it’s mad that he was right footed but Maldini was by far the best of them.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View Post

Honourable mentions to Denis Irwin, Phillip Lahm, Ashley Cole and Zambrotta
