Before the game I was a bit worried about the link between midfield and attack but I didn't think it would be that bad. Henderson looks miles off first team fitness and the others aren't dominating themselves either.

Leaving aside the obvious comedy moments at the back that we know we've been capable for quite a while now, we didn't seem to gel the midfield or attack there. We had that in the first half loads of times last season and turned it around so I'm hopeful we can do it again. Be nice to get it right from the start more often though

Midfield really lacks that creative player like Coutinho, there is no-one there who plays through balls or penetrating passes, they are just player who keep things ticking over when we have the ball.

Can our defensive issues really be all about the players? We've been through a fair few and they all suffer the same issues.

No. We weren't prepared. No organisation. All coaching related.

Sure VVD could come in and organise things on the pitch but the work off it looks like its been completely ineffective or rubbish.
