    Hoffenheim (A): Post Match

Rode our luck a bit but great result.
We're going to get a hiding from some-one this season though.
    Really?

Just a cameo from Grujic but I look forward to the cup games to see what he can do. Just lacking in a bit of pace though like our current crop which is a shame.

Yes, result was fantastic and should settle a few nerves. What am I talking about, it's still going to be nerve racking, obviously. But that's a great away win and I thought the best we could hope for was a draw.

So, 2 away games and 5 goals. We've shown we're a threat for sure. If we could just tweak that midfield/defence...

No way I'm complaining about that. Conceding that goal was annoying but when all's said and done every single one of us would've taken that result.

Big up Mignolet - excellent tonight. Mane and Trent superb also.

Henderson is miles off his level - he hasn't played any football for 6 months so I'll let him off but he needs to get going asap.

Except switching off for their goal by putting his arm up for offside.

Not convincing, quite like Watford, but got a better result this time. Got to be happy with an away win in the first leg, despite the late one.

Played well in patches and should have been more clinical. No way in a million years was that a pen. Contact was minimal. Absolutely hate how often refs give **** pens. We rode our luck and I'm unsure why our defenders like to side foot clearances into each other or straight to the other side. Solanke looks like I was totally wrong about him. Like his pressing. Our squad is very thin as you can't rely on Mane and Salah every game.

Main thing is to qualify. At all costs. Halfway there.

TAA has very directly and very naively cost us two heavy goals. He still thinks he's playing for the academy. I can see Clyne easily getting that RB slot back as soon as he's fit. But it's great experience for TAA, nothing beats the real thing.

And that goal from him may have earned us a few million so lots to look forward to.

Great to see Trent scoring a belter. Decent result with frustrations though, there were some real issues down the left hand side of the defence and luck was ridden on several occasions. Lovren almost seemed intent on sabotage.

Still, good stuff from the subs as well, Milner brought balance, Solanke looked willing and Grujic (bar a rash challenge) looked decent.

How good is TAA going to be though?

We need to tighten up tactically away from home, control the ball a bit more and try to slow the play down. Defensively we were good. Issues were in midfield, which had our back 4 exposed too many times.
                        Are we winning?

....and Salah should have 6 goals for us already. He's going to fly when he's running on full confidence.

TAA sounds like Katarina Johnson Thompson

                              He's mint though.
