At least sounds like Mo was keen to stay, which is heartening, despite the dickery of his agent.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I’d like to see us at least try this- Salah through the middle, Diaz on the left, nunez on the right. Wouldn’t need to commit to doing it all the time, but I think it could be affective, and make us that bit more unpredictableI don't tip

How many are non penalty goals?
I would maybe question if 350k a week and 100m for a replacement makes sense next summer. I guess that might come down to a replacement being available.
Is that 100m worth more than an extra season with Mo? Seems a bit clinical, but I dont think there is much room for sentiment when those kinds of figures are involved. I think thats the sign of a truely elite manager... knowing when to call time.
Mind you, if I was managing Liverpool Id still be sending Robbie Fowler out.
Either way Mo has eclipsed a lot of legends in his time here. I hope he can find that extra yard of pace again. Its good to see he is adapting his game, but its still painful to see him try to run at defenders and lose the ball time and again. Maybe we have been spoilt by such high quality play in the past, but the level of consistency we need to finish top is ridiculous.
Replacing the like of Salah, VVD and Alisson will be ridicilously difficult. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Aye, though probably better to look at replacing their numbers than replacing them as players.
You are not going to find another Mo easily, but you might be able to find two players that between them bring to the team what Mo did. Maybe we even have one or two of those players at the club already and just need a top up player to do the rest.
VVD is world class and very difficult to replace but always think it is slightly easier to find another top class defender than it would be to find a generational player like Mo.
Alisson is the really difficult one to replace. He is the best in the world imo and even a very good goal keeper will fell like a step down from Ali.
Only guy I would replace him with right now (in a hope he goes on to become as good as Alisson kind of way) would be Donnarumma at PSG.
And before anyone goes "Doc that's nuts, he is not as good as Ali", I will say no he is not as good at Ali....yet.
But Donnarumma is only 24 despite having played around 400 senior games for club and country. He is now at the age Ali was when Ali left Brazil for Italy and is still a year younger than when Alisson became a nailed oin first team starter for Roma so Donnarumma has time on his side along with already having a ton of experience and is already pushing close to being a world class keeper. But if Ali was leaving next season I would love to see us try a big money bid for Donnarumma.
I'm ignoring great keepers like Maignan because I would discount any keeper that is currently 26 or older as those guys will be a year or two older again by the time we need to replace Alisson.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I dont thinks its any easier to replace VVD like for like than the other two. Cant think if any other defenders as good as him in as many ways. Be great to just have a tall, pacey defender who is good in the air and exceptionally calm, who is almost impossible to dribble past.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Not saying a like for like for VVD would be easy to find, but rather that it is easier to find a really good centre back (that may not be as good as prime VVD) than a like for like for Mo.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
