Good points, but they don't convince me £100m will be forthcoming next summer for Salah. I would rate the chances of Salah seeing out his contract with us as higher than the chances of him leaving next summer for 100m or more.

I think you are right on the price, I though he was a year younger , I think 50m with a year left on his contract

i think the difference is more stark when you pay more attention to the number of matches it took people to rack up their totals.

A stupid way to end a pretty good interview by the reporter. Went for the cheap headline and got blanked.

he's always got assists but his final ball this year seems much improved or is it just me?

Keep for now, take him off when he's tired and rotate the front 5 for the season. Good pass for the winner. Had some nice touches first half. Can't run or close down like he used to but if managed correctly and doesn't play 90 minutes come what may, then he'll be more than useful.

on the managing his minutes. His passing is overlooked some of the passes and runs he makes are sublime - the link up in the run in to Darwin’s first, and the. Assist for the second. The run which lead to a shot well blocked by Botman. He’s just not going to score as many as we’ve got used to, but he now has other forwards picking up the slack.

Seems to have a really good connection with Nunez.

                    Diaz Nunez Salah

That front three for me against Villa please.

Elliot too, has developed a decent understanding with them.

Two world class touches from Mo for both goals.

I'd be interested to see how Mo performed as the false 9 with Diaz and Nunez out wide. He seems to have the vision and the engine for it.

I think it might be a good move. His pace is definitely not as explosive so he's less of a threat out wide. But his ability to create chances is as good if not better than ever. **** gakpo off and play mo instead.

That's not really fair to Mo, he was 19:12 - goals:assists last season. He presses well and has the stamina to be part of a high workrate midfield.

Against low-block teams his through balls or shots from distance might work better than trying to dribble through 3 or 4 defenders from the right.

If we persist with inverting Trent, then bringing Gomez into a LCB with Virgil and Konate would mean we can play 3-5-2 with Mo as a false 9. 3-2-5 if we want to overload defences or 4-5-1 if we are on the back foot or are defending a one goal advantage against the stronger teams.

His touch on that first goal playing the ball to Jota was absolutely sublime, and the pass through to Darwin for the second also eye of a needle, outside of boot, perfectly paced.
