Yeah I think he's going but it's based on nothing other than fear and dread.

3 weeks ago there was noise from some fairly reliable 'ITK' types hinting (more than ) it was all done, but **** all since.

Who knows but letting him leave is unforgivable. Add in Henderson getting a new deal. Zero logic.

But it also says that we are a club that can't keep it's best players so essentially a feeder club for the likes of Real, Barcelona and PSG, rather than a top club that can compete with them.

Yeah partly but I think it is more than that. It's far too quiet. If he'd signed it would have leaked by now. Henderson's did. I am getting more and more worried (irrationally so for a 40 year old man ) that he's off as time passes.

Don't think barca and real are in that bracket at the moment but yes to an extent it does look the way you describe.

But the other way of looking at is that it's a sound financial strategy which we need to compete, as long as we keep bringing in the next Salah. All well and good with edwards/klopp to spend the money. A worry when they're not around.

The model falls down once bad signings come and in and don't have the same resale value.

If Mo is to leave it seems like it would be for one of those three clubs. I know Barcelona in particular look like they are in the **** at the moment but clubs like them and Madrid always seem to find someway by fair means or foul of getting back to the top of the game and getting the best players wanting to go there. I would love to see them lose their positions of power and just become another team Spain but that isn't going to happen.
