My fear is that FSG will forget about the times they paid £35m for Christian Benteke, £20m for Stewart Downing and think that the scouting department can simply find the next Mo Salah just as easily that they signed Mo.

Paying Salah £400k is definitely cheaper than any other option. He 'almost' carries us, so nobody else can have any issues with it.

FSG will have some charts showing that 400k per week won't be great value in 3.5 years time so will haggle for that......

I think if someone offered £150m then they'd cash in and give Jurgen the cash to buy 3 or 4 players and build the next team. The risks there are that Jurgen might think "nah **** it" and also the fact that Man City might be the only team that would pay that money. (PSG might too but Mo might not want to play in France)
