If it's his last game for us, we win and he makes a decent contribution then so be it.

Ach, it’s not worth arguing about to be honest. But Im not seeing how we are suffering?

Personal goals are fine. All of them will have personal targets. Every football player at every level down to under 10’s has personal targets. And team goals.

He’s been less affective since the Afcon, but that’s only in comparison to the mental numbers he was posting before.
I watch him and he frustrates me every single game. Even when he scores he's usually had a stinker but the goal normally glosses over things. He does assist and some are great, some are deflections after he's tried to bundle his way in and others like last night are hardly assists in the true sense. He moved the ball on in an attacking move, fab made the goal and the keeper also helped. That wasn't any piece of skill on Mo's part ffs. Thats where stats don't always tell the whole story. I'm sure if you asked John Barnes how many goals he laid on, he couldn't tell you. It wasn't a thing but these days people are stats mad as are the players seemingly. I prefer to watch a game, and decide on the players performance whether he played well or not. A goal or an assist doesn't mean the previous 89 minutes are forgotten. Mo is an excellent player, his numbers are insane, he works ****ing hard chasing back, I'm not denying any of this. I just call out a poor performance when I see it, regardless of player. You seem to want to draw me into some sort vendetta. My final word on mo is I hope he scores the winner, I hope we win all the trophies and then rather than pay him insane money, I would prefer to cash in and get someone younger. Not sure whys that's such an insane thought.

He's woeful in front of goal at the moment, and costly, IMO

You're not wrong. Way off form. Understandable given the afcon and his earlier season exploits. Maybe he is playing a slightly different creator role, i don't know.

But the cut inside is a bit too predictable and the pace seems to be less than earlier in season.

He has score in 2 pl games in the last 10.

Feels like it’s all the Mo Salah show now. He turns up to the finals, produces the salah magic and we end the season with the cup treble and he signs a contract. Or he keeps misfiring, we fail to win a final or two and he leaves or mopes to the end of his contract. Maybe if Bobby is fit we should take it out of his hands and start him on the bench.

His decision making has been fairly poor he constantly seems to be trying to take people on own the right and running into a challenge, if he does cut inside you know what he's going to try and do and the shots are being blocked or are well off target. Yesterday fairly early on he should have squared a ball to Diaz on the edge of the box but instead took on a shot which was blocked. I know he's had a couple of games/moments, but in general I think his for has dipped significantly since the ACN.

Personally I think we should have dropped a few weeks ago to give him a break and to sort his head out, hopefully allowing him to come back to form for the end of the season.
