His decision making has been fairly poor he constantly seems to be trying to take people on own the right and running into a challenge, if he does cut inside you know what he's going to try and do and the shots are being blocked or are well off target. Yesterday fairly early on he should have squared a ball to Diaz on the edge of the box but instead took on a shot which was blocked. I know he's had a couple of games/moments, but in general I think his for has dipped significantly since the ACN.

Personally I think we should have dropped a few weeks ago to give him a break and to sort his head out, hopefully allowing him to come back to form for the end of the season.

Think I'd be benching him for the villa game. He needs a rest, way off it and although his stats look ok... anyone that has watched him since coming back from AFCON can clearly see hes been way off his amazing best.

That Salah shot toward the end will haunt me, he had the option to lay it on for two different teammates for a clear shot on goal but went for glory. I have no problem with that if we are a goal up, some will say it’s ‘just his instinct’ but in such important games, his decision making needs to be better.

He definitely needs a rest.

Again, thought he did 'ok' on sat (we played pretty well for the majority of the game tbh - just didn't get the goal) - he had one shot that was going in, but Davies threw himself infront of it for an incredible block. Worked hard, but he looks short of sharpness (burnt out).

I think he is rested the least, the games are so often, and it would be good to see the Mane/Diaz/Jota (Firmino) version of the front three.

Seems like it. People say he needs resting, but I think he should be playing against Villa, Southampton, wolves and step aside for the finals. Might be a useful element of surprise too.

But we want to keep the good Mo, not this withered husk of a man who was one the Egyptian king. If we can't find the real Mo then he has to go.
We'd be suckers to commit to 400k a week for an average winger, given current form, who is nearly 30.

Defo glad you aren't manager...!

Even with the (slight) drying up of goals he is most likely for assists, or of the entire team it is he, Trent and Robbo who are most likely to create.

I think we can (and should) rest him and the knowledge that the team can function without him in it will be motivating for the finals.
