He will regain his form, no doubt about it.Originally posted by baitman View PostI wouldn't necessarily "want" to sell salah but his dip in form is a worry.
I dont see the signs that he will recover his previous electric form and he isn't getting any younger. He turns 30 in June.
He is always edging for more money or a move, despite him saying it's up to the club, etc. Maybe he wants something that's out of our reach and so he is forcing our hand to sell him. His current contract is up in summer 2023 so either he signs or we sell, and I think he is going.
But.. What we could do with 150m would bring more to the team than he can I think.
I think it's the right time for him to go.

Owen said the same thing. Macca did the same thing
Means he wants to leave on a free, essentially.
Do we sell him now?
I guess it depends on who we can get to replace him. None of our current players can play on the right, and even Carvalho is left sided.
Question is, who else will want a 31 year old on 500k a week anyway? In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

He won't accept any transfer when he knows he can bag a couple more trophies with us then earn far more with a signing on feeOriginally posted by Charly View PostOwen said the same thing. Macca did the same thing

True, but PSG have no problems paying him ridiculous amounts to stay. We know he did not stay purely for the glory of Ligue 1.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostTbf Mbappe just ran his contract down and stayed.
We are statistically the best team in the world at the moment. Salah has reasons not to sign, or he would have done so by now. And they cannot be footballing, unless he wanted to try something new. But if that was the case there would be nothingto negociate.
But he knows he can get a huge wage and huge signing on fee if he runs his contract down... which is fair enough. I just wish players could be a bit more honest about it (and some are).
Of course he might still sign a new contract with us, but he will be 31 after next season and will start losing both pace and acceleration. So it may work out best for both parties. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I think it has been a club decision to not mention contracts until the end of the season. Milner said the same.
