He was relieved of them last season and it was one of his best. This season Slot has decided to also allow Gravenberch to push on, add Wirtz who for all his values, defending isn't one of them. We also have new forwards who don't offer the same pressing as the ones gone.

Not that they all need slated, but the fundamental issues we have are down to the performances and connections of these players also.

Our goal scoring record is not too bad - not saying Salahs been good in saying that - but when we need to get a minimum of three goals to win a game then the issues probably lie elsewhere.

As the cliches goes- Attackers win games but defences win leagues.

I am torn on this one, he are in a disfunctional team right now where no unit in the pitch seems to be working. I am not sure if he is a victim of this or one of the primary causes of it.
