There's a fair chance the contract extension was so we'd get a fee for him and he was always going to go at the end of this season.

If FSG can sell him they absolutely will but for that to happen, there has to be a buyer and I can't think of any.

He is still scores more goals than anyone else. I’d not be getting rid until we have someone else guaranteed to be on or around 20 goals. He is having his worst season since he signed, clearly, but seems to get more heat than forwards who literally haven’t scored for months.

He’s a right wing, compare him to Sancho, or (the Brazilian lad), he’s scored one more than Saka and 2 less than Rashford.

It would be good if the burden of scoring goals was shared around the team, but let’s be honest, who else really scores goals for us??? None from defence. None from midfield and only really Mo in attack.

The 2 penalty misses are big tho. Wonder if he will get one more chance.

Mo on top form is an asset worth keeping. He was already on a sharp decline when he got his new contract. Stupid.

Not he's on big money and well below standard, almost unsellable.
Who wants to buy an overpriced has been trophy signing.

Fair points, but he's over 30 years old and declining we have to be proactive.

Yet only 5 players in the entire league have scored more goals than him. I’ll take a forward not playing well but still scoring every day of the week. And if someone else comes in and plays well and scores then I’ll drop the former.

                But that’s not happening.

Nunez not scored in ages and Jota in over a year. If we are reading for Mbappe - I’m in. Short of that. I’m keeping him.

Said ages back that I think he is PSG bound and still think that. However he, regardless of not being the player he once was for us, is exactly what Buzzo said a few posts back.

He outscores everyone else in our team by some distance and unless we have someone available that can step in and either offer us close to the same amount of goals or be part of creating a similar amount of goals then he is the best we have in attack.

Maybe that will change in the summer, but right now we simply do not have a single player more likely to get a goal than him. He plays ****, he scores. He plays well he scores.

OK, I guess we will agree to disagree on this one. I don't think we should wait for him to decline further. No one is irreplaceable. The backroom and coaching staff have to put in the work and make tough decisions for now and the future.

probably be in the relegation zone without his goals. He's not what he has been but he's the best we got at the moment. He is also playing in a very dysfunctional side and his numbers would be considered very good if it wasn't being compared to the amazing numbers he puts up every season.

Id sell Nunez first... no way he is suddenly going to reach the levels of a top striker.

Salah may be ****e but will still perform levels above.

Jota probably needs to go too, as he is even worse at the moment. Jones was having to do his attacking for him.

Nice that we look a mess all over the pitch... thats true team work
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

That's what happens when you set world class standards as a player & as a team. When it's not working, people lash out. Mo was ****e yesterday but is not our problem, even if he isn't playing his best this season, I'd move every other forward and midfielder on before I even touched Mo but I think he'll be off anyways as he won't be no European football & we'll maybe want to cash in. Said it before, people won't realise just how good he was until he leaves.

We are a side struggling for goals, I said it yesterday despite our good play we never really looked like scoring. If you look at the goals scored we have 50 PL goals in 29 games, if you look at the table the sides in 3rd to 9th have similar records, but when you consider we have 16 goals in 2 games that doesn’t tell the whole story, as it only leaves 34 goals in the other 27. With a soft centre and so many defensive mistakes is it any wonder we are where we are? Problem with the forwards is that Salah, Mane and Firmino had a great understanding of their roles and each others games, they were explosive players, who could win/turn games in minutes, as good individually as the guys we have now might be there isn't that same understanding, partnership whatever that made them greater than the sum of their parts and I think Salah is suffering (or at least appears to be) as a resilt
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
