I'm now convinced he's off after seeing that

If the European transfer window was still open ...and Mbappe was willing to come t0 LFC then I'd expect this deal to done if the offer is £215 million .The club seems to need income from buying clubs to enable team strengthen all the time and this huge amount would enable Klopp to replace salah and other players. .... But for me i would rather keep salah as he is in peak condition and looks likely to for several years at a top level

          He's great, isn't he.

I don't think we fully appreciated just how great he's been for us.

Until he's gone (this season or next).

What are the chances he signs a new contract and would we want him too? Personally, I want him to stay as long as he wants too.

                Those are great stats.

I still think he is totally undervalued by our supporters. He’s one of the best we’ve ever had and the consistency is just not something you can easily replace.

Would be an amazing time for him to sign a 1 year contract extension

                      Not on those wages.

He is on a downward trajectory. He seems to be able to offset his lower number of goals with more assists.

But his drop in pace is very noticable. He almost never beats players now and the power in his shots seems to have dropped off too.

I think we would have taken £100-150m had a bid come in at a reasonable point in time, so if the Saudi League really wanted him they could have got him.

The cynic in me thinks this is just to increase the chances of Newcastle United... but it is fast looking grim for them. Chelsea, Utd and Newcastle maybe fighting for Uefa Cup qualification. Spurs Arsenal West Ham are all loking strong. Brighton coulkd be the surprise package. Long way to go but it does feel like there is a lot of competition for places at the top. City will still probably piss it. I do think we can get second... But we need Mo to stay at least until we can bring in a top quality replacement.

The output from him is phenomenal and still there’s calls to cash in or he’s dropping off etc… (numbers don’t really show that)

Once he goes trying to replace those number will be nigh on impossible.

At 350k a week, I think next summer would be the prime time to sell as he will be 32, and if we can get £100m then that buys an elite replacement.

The problem we have for any player coming in is the weight of expectation.

A line of Rush Aldridge Fowler Owen Torres Suarez and Salah (and we can chuck in Mane and Sturridge who both had amazing stats)... We thought Torres would be impossible to replace, but the numbers got better with Suarez, and then with Salah even higher. We always get to a point where we think its impossible to get someone in as good (or better). Our streak will have to dry up at some point.

Heskey, Carroll, VOronin, Dundee, Diouff, Keane..........Plenty of ****e in there too.

Salah's numbers are amazing but i imagine Kane's numbers show Spurs were even more reliant on Kane and thye look like they may do ok without.

I love him, He has been awesome but this isn;t peak SAlah anymore, Still great but think 100m and 8 months warning we should be able to get a good replacement.

Yep, even on this page. His goals and assists levels are hitting his average since he joined. I think the thing that has changed is Haaland, but they are not comparable players.

I don’t think Salahs pace has dropped off, he looks as strong as ever - he is the obvious threat is often double marked and he still provides.

It baffles me. He gets paid what he does because he is one of the best in the world. And if it was that easy to get goals and assists we’d see 100’s of players posting 20 plus goals and 10 plus assists per season.

Nah they tipped their hand with their 150m talk and further talk of paying whatever it takes.

They want him before his contract ends and at the start of a PL transfer window and assuming Salah wants the move, then they can start at the whatever it takes figure.
