    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Three:
He is leaving the field so easily, you get the feeling it might not be that serious and he might have a chance to play in that third group game. It looked like he was holding his hamstring.
    Modifying post.

Fecks sakes Ghana you had one job to do, just drew instead. I can see Egypt squeezing out of this group with a draw as Mozambique and Ghana will probably be a draw negating each others' hopes.

Damn it. Had actually started writing last night, that the downside of it not being a serious injury is that they might risk him next game.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Well done Mo for listening to your body and stopping when you did. Intelligence beyond your normal footballer.

Hopefully Mo knows we have a league title to win and will resist himself. Just like he decided himself to come off despite Egypt being in a precarious position to qualify against Ghana.

100% this. As much as he’d want to win he’s a sensible guy and looks after himself so well he wouldn’t risk anything and he’s not going to be bullied into playing if he doesn’t think it’s the right decision.

I think he's very much at risk of being bullied in to playing. Hopes of a nation on his shoulders

The quote they put out about him not being available until the knockout rounds should have removed the weight on his shoulders, the public are now expecting him not to appear.

Salah coming back until he’s fit gain at least.

That’s a huge relief. I suspect it also means it is worse than they said and that’s his AFCON done.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Judging by this, they’re not expecting him fit until the AFCON semi finals, which are on 7th February. Hopefully Egypt don’t get that far, which will mean his tournament is over.

If they get knocked out before the semi finals, there might be a chance Mo could be fit for Arsenal. If they’re expecting him fit for 7th February, there might be a slight chance he’s ok by 4th February.

The AFCON quarters are on 2nd & 3rd Feb.
