    Mo's agent

Mohammed’s injury is more serious than first thought and he will be out for 21-28 days, and not 2 games. His best chance at participating in the current AFCON is by undergoing intensive rehabilitation in the uk and rejoining the team as soon as he is fit.

      Not the worst news TBH.

An enforced rest might do him some good, then hopefully he comes back and finishes the season strongly. We shouldn't need to rush him back if we don't get any more injuries up top, so I would ease him back in and aim to have him at peak fitness for City at the start of March.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The final is only 20 days away? Although even if not fit you would presume he would go out there to be with Egypt?

Intensive rehab and rushing back to play again sounds like a recipe for another, more serious, injury.

Egypts chances of progressing deep must be fairly poor without Salah?

It's good news that he can rest but the Chelsea vs Arsenal back to back games are going to be crucial and we need him back.

I imagine that's to appease the Egypt fans as he knows the liklihood of Mo heading back are slim to none.

Although, it does also leave the door open should Egypt perform a miracle and reach the final.

If Mo is out for 21-28 days, then that’s his tournament over, so it doesn’t matter anymore how far Egypt get. The final of AFCON is in 20 days.
