If they’d made their offer in June I reckon they’d have gotten him (if Mo was up for it).
Important context. At the time it felt as much like an attempt to destabilise the club for the coming season as it did them trying to secure the most famous Muslim player on the planet for their domestic league.

Replacing goals is hard and tbh for this season he has at least ensured we're back in the CL and we were fighting for the title up until the last few weeks.

Certainly time to go now though for me.
Take away the penalties and he's not done much more than the massive failure Nunez

Not saying he was in any way right, just that it’s understandable.

The comment he made after the game was very much overstepping it though, and he should apologize to Klopp/the team. I feel like Klopp will deal with it differently than he would if he was staying. In normal circumstances I think we’d maybe see Salah out of the team next week, depending on what happens behind the scenes following the incident- cos Klopp wouldn’t let a player undermine him, and cause him to lose the dressing room. But when he only has 3 games left himself, I don’t think he’d cut his nose off to spite his face, and wouldn’t put the club in a position where they need to sell Salah over a fight he had with the old manager.

But also, with Slot coming in, we don’t want a situation like the ten hag/ Ronaldo stand off. Salah needs to fall in line and remember his place. The boss might not always be right, but he’s always the boss.

We can't have the threat of Salah throwing a tantrum on the touchline if he doesn't get his own way. Hopefully this new contract talk is just a tacit way of saying we won't be screwed over vis à vis his transfer fee, otherwise the new Manager will be in a terrible position trying to accommodate this nonsense.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Klopp tried to take the sting out of it post game with his comments, Salah on the other hand stirred the pot with his "Fire" comment after the game when he could easily have said "no comment" or just flashed a smile and kept going.

Klopp has nothing to answer for. Its the players and salah being absolute useless scrubs. I've never seen one make a shushing gesture to a manager before no matter how annoyed they were.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. Look at all the times salah would stay on regardless of performance and Mane would consistently be the one hooked. It pissed mane off at the time as i can vividly renember the looks of disgust when he trudged off. Also the looks when salah refused to pass and went for personal glory. They obviously didn't get on and now salah is showing his true colours by showing complete disrespect to the guy that has shown unwavering loyalty to him. He's always put goals and personal records above the team imo. It's why I've never really taken to him. That aside, it would be insane to not recognise the fact he's been a significant reason why we have won the league and champions league. He's scored some crazy goals and I don't think anyone will match his goal record. I think he needs to leave before his poor performances taint his legacy and the fan base starts to cotton on to the fact he's on the way down.

The silence from the Club & Salah is deafening imo. I fully expected an apology from Mo by now saying it was heat of the moment blah blah blah but 2.5 days later & nothing except talk of a new contract coming from supposed ITK’s.

That's interesting, because in 5 seasons together there's only one where Mane was subbed off more times than Salah was.

Also in that time, nobody has more assists or made more chances for the other forwards than Salah.

We don't, that's true. But only one was waving his arms about like a prick and shushing the other. Think its pretty clear Klopp wasn't happy that he blanked him, said something and Salah reacted like a petulant kid.

He's got form of throwing little tantrums when he's not played /or been subbed early too.

                              Hopefully Klopp benches him again.

There has been some speculation as to what Salah was saying by a lip reader, Klopp was obscured so we'll never know that.

In one of the angles behind you can see Klopp pointing towards the bench which seemed to have kicked Salah off. I'd presume he said something along the lines of do you want to go back to the bench which fits into what the lip reader said...

'I will, I will get a red card, after seven years, after seven years' service, after seven years!... before being ushered away by Nunez of all people.
