He's unreal tbh, his strength on the ball and work rate off it is unequalled.
He's lost very little of his prowess and he's loved so much here, you can see that in his celebrations and what he means to all the fans.
Will be gutted when he goes.

Yip I think they need to make exceptions about Virgil and Salah
I'd give them both 3 year deals heavily incentive based. In fact, I'd almost give them deals where if they are still performing in the 3rd season (x amount of games for example) the 4th year automatically kicks in.
Both could fall off a cliff in terms of ability in say, 18 months time, but the anfield wrap guy made a good point a few weeks back, both of these guys aren't staying to sit on a bench for a year or so. They are both top drawer and would want to be playing every week even at a lesser club. So if they do end up doing a hendo and being not as good, they ain't going to hang around

I don't agree with that, they'll be mid thirties on massive wages that nobody will match. Maybe Saudi for Salah, but maybe not by then.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostYip I think they need to make exceptions about Virgil and Salah

Thats why I'd make them heavily incentive based as mentioned. Basically say to the players "if ye think ye can still perform at the same level, then the platform is there to do it"Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI don't agree with that, they'll be mid thirties on massive wages that nobody will match. Otherwise we are in a big year of transition next season no matter how well this one pans out

2 + a 1 year extension option on new (lower) salary.
