Exactly - this is some of the ridiculousness that has been going on at Manure, with this clause apparently in contracts ranging from Ronaldo to De Gea to Maguire (hard to believe this one!!)

You may be right, but just don’t buy into the narrative this is all on Salah.

Even from a personal POV, he has a wife, young kids, has expressed a desire to stay, is more than delivering on the pitch. To be 6 months away from potentially moving to a new country when you don’t want to. It’s not ideal for sure but I believe common ground will be found. Even on his currently salary £14m pa in the world of elite football doesn’t seem like a massive gamble.

2 year deal with option on further year extension. I reckon it’s done in December. Same for Virgil.

Considering we just signed a new advertising contract with nike and trent is most likely sodding off, I say we can probably afford to pay him a little more for a few years more. He's rarely injured, still beefy, and lately seems to cut his hair more often. Worst comes to worst if his fitness stops him doing full games in a couple years, we have a savage substitute in him that can come on and smash teams.

I think it depends on the stage of career that you are trying to compare them, remember Henry left the PL when he was 30 so that would be comparing him with Salah of upto a couple of years ago, so comparing Salah now to Henry at 29/30 might not be a valid comparison.

For me their stats, games, goals and assists are very similar so I don't think there is really much to choose between them. That said the roles that they played in their respective sides were different, Henry mostly played as a centre forward, whereas Salah has played from the right, which you could argue makes matching Henry's goal per game more impressive.
