    Halas.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

His return is going to dip eventually. Aslong as we are not afraid to sub him, Im happy for him to start. But his general game and physique are in decline. If he does not get goals and assists he sometime looks like he hasnt contributed much

Yesterday was a tough game for him. He had little room to work in and it's hard against a team of athletes at 6ft plus. What was disappointing was his touch in the second half. The rare occasions he did find space the ball bounced off him. That's more concerning for me than being able to dribble past anyone. I'm sure he'll get a few goals again this year but I don't it'll be lots like previously. Other players are going to step up.

Wee bit to early to question the guy that got 34 goals and 23 assists just last season, already has a goal and an assist, whilst playing nowhere near his best and in a team that is learning to play together and have won 3 from 3 very tricky fixtures.

He has been poor so far but he's not alone. Luckily we have more options and players now to take the burden of winning us every game and scoring 30 or 40 goals every season

I really think he should be used more as a sub.

Will be interesting to see what his output is this season. He was interviewed and mentioned he saw (and therefor has discussed) his roll being more team orientated this season. This suggests we are looking to be less reliant on Salah as main goals and assists contributor this season - which is good for us moving towards this new era.

He will be judged by the quite frankly phenomenal output of previous seasons. HeÂ’s been quiet I agree but played pivotal part in two clutch goals this season v Bournemouth (his ball in) and Newcastle - his ball in.

I get the feeling some are almost eagerly anticipating the demise of mega productive Salah to try and validate years of trying to pre empt this demise.

Look every dog has its day and maybe his minutes need to be managed better as the season goes on but he's just a ridiculously fit guy who rarely gets injured so I can see why he doesn't get subbed off alot. He's been dragging us through games for years, he's the prem league goat and one of the greatest of all time. I've been very disappointed with his drop off last season and the way he's started this campaign but it's just way too early to be writing him off or questioning his worth imo. Let's have this conversation in another 10 games or so.

                        You are so uptight

You can question Salah all you want, just don’t expect to not get pulled up for it this early on and on the back of another record breaking season.

He'll rarely get to his 60th minute on the pitch if he's only used as a sub.

It's not the length of time he's on the pitch, it's about the games opening up more in later stages, teams needing to get back into the game and committing numbers, tiredness (which he's immune to), stuff like that, that's when he shines. I don't believe the premise that he takes an hour to warm up at all.

Most goals are scored in the latter stages of the second half of games.

On that logic, maybe we shouldn’t start with any forwards?

Jokes aside, I just don’t think you can make decisions by looking at individual stats in isolation like this, there’s a load of other variables and metrics you’d need to take into consideration

Sure, but my eyes show him struggling to get into games, buildups breaking down when he gets the ball, other players looking for him at the expense of other players in good positions, then him contributing goals and assists, usually later in games. Of course you can consider as many complexities as you like, but I like the idea of bringing him off the bench later in games, particularly games that are tighter and less open.
