In the end, no matter what way it's dressed up or looked at, there was, and remains no good, reason for Salah to go public with any of this. If Slot has lost the dressing room, that will show in results. If Slot is incapable of changing things for the better, that will also show in the results.

This is it for me. Be pissed at being benched or subbed, be a petulant diva and sulk if you want to, but don't bitch to the media.

It's now the Me Salah show, and instead of the team celebrating a great performance last night, they had to endure 20 questions from the Amazon punditry team about Salah. Seedorf was out of order with Slot, and it was clear Sturridge was siding with his mate Mo. Both Robbo and Virg handled their questions well. Slot clearly respects Clarance, but should have told him to stay in his lane.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Seedorf came across as a right dick. "I don't agree, and this is what I think"

        Nobody asked you, Clarence
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

So what you’re saying is Mo is in de Nile
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

              Welcome to de Nederlands

I go to Holland regularly and the amount of times I've thought "nobody ****in asked you" is significant. They are pretty direct. For an Irish person, it's particularly tough going.

Horrible way for it all to end but its for the best if he leaves in January and we use that money to replace him.

Let him play at Brighton and give him the send off he richly deserves, apology or not.

The whole pitch side interview was really unprofessional. Almost no interest in the game that they'd paid a fortune to broadcast. Slot is a friendly and candid person, but he's a professional and successful football manager, and the manager of the most successful club in English football, and the pundits were far too comfortable. They're pundits at a game and that is not a job that comes with opportunity to start telling the interviewee what they should be doing in their job from a completely unqualified position. They definitely overstepped the line and did so because Slot goes the extra mile to be civil and honest and they lack the emotional intelligence to react appropriately. Next time, Slot should just say "I'm not talking about any of that, ask me about the game", as he'd have every right to do.

Compromise, he can come on for that last 10 minutes.

I would have belted Clarence with the mike & told him his Mam should be ashamed of herself by giving him that name!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Yeah same over here - that kind of directness typically ends in violence.

Slot should have asked "Remind me, how did your managerial career go?"

                              Is it tho?

What next? ‘The Salah years - the darkest period in Liverpools history’.

We went on some insane unbeaten runs with Salah in the team.

The amount of sensationalist content around this is mind blowing. It wasn’t even all that mental what he said - the predictable reaction has been nuts. I’m all for discussing what’s going on right now, even if it does involve Jamie Carragher putting himself into the front row with his 8 minute mega rant which contained a fair few shots below the belt.

But we cannot re write history.

Some people (and I’m mainly talking Twitter) clearly never really liked Salah. Some people only liked Salah.

We are in the endgame of his career with us one way or another, hopefully it can play out without anymore vitriol.

I agree that they are pretty direct, but I find that very refreshing at times. Kind of reminds me of Poles, Latvians and Ukrainians.

Might just be that I am used to that way as like you I go to the Netherlands a bit but also had an Ex from Latvia and have had Ukrainians living with me for over three years now so am used to that direct way of talking.

Will add the caveat that for me Eastern Europeans are direct (by Irish standards) but maybe less blunt than their Dutch counterparts.

Say what you mean and mean what you say is the way to go though. And if you can do that and mix it with a dollap of tact (ie knowing when to say nothing at all) you are flying. Less bull**** and beating around the bush is rarely a bad thing as you cut to the character of a person, good or bad, quickly when they are that way.
