No way that was a red - Mane had his eyes on the ball, keeper was out of his area - you want your players going for 50/50 balls - no excuse for a 5-0 thrashing though, we gave up.

      Well that was ****.

I take heart from the fact Man Utd in 1996 were spanked 5-0 by Newcastle and then a week later, 6-3 by Southampton. They went on to win the league!

The same happened in 2000 against Chelsea (5-0), they again went on to win the league.

That doesn't surprise me, I'm doing my best not trying to do a negative cunt impression in match/post threads but after reflection he's the one ghats stood out for me. Not because of this game but it's been happening too often.

Im hoping Oxlade-Chamberlain and the return of Coutinho ups his performances as they've been worrying since preseason frankly. Lallana being fit might have meant he'd be struggling for games thus far.

I think Wijnaldum would be fine as a substitute but he's out as soon as Lallana is back.

As soon as Coutinho is back, I'd say.

A yellow at most, no intent or malice there.

**** defence though. I felt sorry for Trent-Arnold, way too young for such a big match. Klavan? What the ****??

Oh yeah haha. An embarrassment of riches! *except in defence.

How do can's stats compare to the ghosts of henderson and Wijnaldum?
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Displays a weak mentality throughout the team (Mig not included). We didn't take responsibility to shut down the play and keep it at 2-0. Perhaps we don't know how to?

If we gave up and settled for 2-0 I'd be more worried about weak mentality.

There were too many bad performances today. Not just Gini. Hendo was poor passing wise also. Klopp never managed the situation after we went down to ten men.

See, my memory is trying to make it better over time. In a decade all I'll know is that we drew today, a small stumble on on our way to the title

It's not about settling for a 2-0 defeat it's about game management and giving yourself the best chance of getting something out of the game. Trying to go toe to toe in a shootout with City 10 vs 11 is only ending one way. The game management side of things is something we are terrible at.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
