If this absolute embarrassment and latest in a long line of burning beacon signposts that are club is being mis-run, mismanaged, or both, then future versions of us will will be glad it happened.
The blanket of inertia at our club gradually cast by by owners now being slowly exposed as only slightly less disingenuous than Hicks and Gillette - transfers wise only, I mean, look at that new stand and the corporate $$$! - is bad enough, but the ho-hum and pitifully lowered expectations 'that's how it is now' acceptance of it by a large cohort of fans is even worse.
If this is the day it all turns, it'll be worth it.

If Klavan or Gomez aren't trusted to start at CB in these situations we needed to bring someone in ahead of them. I can't believe that there is no one out there that could have improved this defence, and this defence will cost us this season.
We needed a CB this sumner. Many said it in the summer and if people can't get on board with that opinion now they never will.

I'm away with the missus, sounds like we're as bad as usual. ****ing awful team, we're going to have a really bad season.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I've invested this much time, I might as well keep watching, however painful... who knows..

Sucker punch at the end of the half. So frustrating given how well we seemed to have shored things up. Ugh ****ing Liverpool. Endless frustration accentuated by brief interludes of joy.

Can is ****ing annoying. Just lumbers around the place, too big to turn quickly.

                  Juve can have him.

Literally everyone said that, including the manager. But very few know why we didn't do it.

                      It's not impossible.

Yeh. I'm coming round to that view. I used to think that we should only buy players who would improve the starting 11, but it's telling that we brought on AOC (himself a squad buy) to replace a (starting) CB. Perhaps tactical, but if we don't trust Klavan to replace Lovren from time to time then it was pointless waiting for VvD.
                        Really?

Exactly. The FSG thread of there are worse owners or the summer was a 7/10 is a worrying mentality. You're frowned upon for being negative these days.

Nope! Don't dislike Klopp yet, but with the money at his disposal now, Rafa would do a much better job. It was only difficult with him when he had little money and tried to trade his way up to better players. Sure the style (2 DMs at home etc.) wasn't to everyone's liking, but it was damned effective, and not as dull as shipping 3 goals every week. In fact that style would've changed with this sort of money.
