        He's ridiculous

Amusingly, a City fan I know reckons he wouldn't get in their side because Laporte and Stones are better than him
        Thanks very much for being

I never thought I'd rate a Liverpool CB from my era higher than Hyypia, who I absolutely loved, but VVD is just levels above him. He's ridiculous.

Aside from the defensive and organisational/leadership qualities he has, the passes he was spraying around yesterday are a huge weapon for us too. Incredible really.

The only 'fault' is he could score more goals, but since that's not in his job description, and he's so ridiculously good at everything else, it shouldn't really be an issue. But he *could* chip in with more.

Was MotM for me last night.

An imposing presence on the pitch.

Yeah, good point. One goal so far isn't really the best return.

Thinking about it, he's a bit ****e really isn't he?

Can you imagine if City had signed him. So glad we got him, beast mode defending.

He has lifted our team to a whole new level.
The same sort of impact gerrard or suarez made, making others around them raise their game too...

                      I agree.

A mate at work reckons that Joe Gomez is awesome. My comments have been "yes he is good.....especially the pace he's got.......but put him next to Lovren and watch him go to ****"

VVD makes the entire back 4 at least 10% better......he is the real captain of the team. Its crazy ****.

Thing is that we have put Gomez beside Lovern this season and Gomez looked just as good and just as confident as he does beside VVD.

If memory serves, Gomez was very very good when played beside Lovern and looked the better of the two.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

It may well be that the time spent along side vvd has helped gomez understand the finer points and so he has been able to raise his game even if he has played along side lovren other times.

It is, but I must say in the grounds it sounds very funereal to me. Nowhere near the life it has in the bars etc.
