It's simply just typical Liverpool. Same old story, rinse and repeat. Once Klopp seen the way Swansea lined up, there was absolutely zero point in Gini being on the pitch. Gomez has been awful of late, mistakes galore and surely against a team that parks the bus someone like Trent is a model for a game like this!?

Every single player was dire tonight, look like they were all out on the piss last night. From the 1st minute we were lethargic and complacent. Klopp had a shocker tonight too. The guy does not make early subs regardless of what is going on. We haven't and won't strengthen in the market so we bring on Ings & Lallana... both coming back from long term injuries. Mentioned before game how poor the bench was, these types of games are inevitable throughout the a season.. we lost our most creative player but hey don't worry Lallana back is like a new signing.

Same old Liverpool, we will leave ourselves short too like in previous seasons. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot ffs.

I know it was difficult as Swansea had a lot of defenders and were playing deep, but there were opportunities but no-one looks capable of doing that, honestly for much of the game they might as well not have been there, defenders were playing high up the pitch and it was as if the midfield didn't know what they should be doing.

Also I can't believe that we didn't make changes earlier, it was clear 5 mins into 2nd half that nothing had changed from first half I don't see the point in giving it 15-20mins in the second before making the changes.

Klopps use of subs is questionable.

We should of sold Phil in the summer. Selling now has ****ed us right up.

Its not really the same old story though.

We haven't lost since the end of October. Its a **** performance and result, but we have been playing really well recently.

            Please spend some money.
As a positive Virgil is an excellent footballer.
Could have had a couple of assists easily tonight.

What is the same old story though, that we don't lose many games? First defeat in 19 isnt the same old story.

You clearly aren't getting what I mean. Dropping points when have a great opportunity to take advantage of other results and leaving ourselves short in the market. It's a common trend.

Exactly. This was a manager clued in. Superb low block. Do that and you'll have a chance at points against us all day long, no matter what the opposition is. Especially if they have a week to prepare for it.

Right, yeah, that bit is frustrating for sure. We are hovering around 4th position, which is about where we expect to be right now.

We need to regroup from this, next up in the League is away at Huddersfield, we need to get three points big time, then we've got Spurs at home. Win against Huddersfield and avoid defeat v Spurs and we are in decent shape.

Monday night and the whole week ruined already ffs.
IMO not bringing a playmaker in could end up costing us a CL place, which would be a massive step backwards.

None of our midfield are really capable of playing that role they all fail to take responsibility and don nothing but pass the ball sideways and backwards. Obviously Coutinho has gone, but this was the type of game that he would have won for us. Not replacing him in that midfield is madness regardless of whether you feel you don't get value for money in January or think that it is knee-jerk. We've had months to prepare for Coutinho's departure, if we don't feel there is value for money in January we should have held out for more from Barcelona. If we don't make the CL this years you can effectively wipe £50m or so off the fee we got for Coutinho and we will find it more difficult to bring someone in in the summer.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nice analogy from Carvahal as to how to play against us.
Been a bugbear for me for awhile for me. At times we don't play through midfield quick enough

Against lesser teams you need to be quicker with your passing and running at times we can be one paced
