I don't think what he does in preseason games will make much of a difference, i think it will have been decided one way or another before we are deep into the preseason schedule. The club he goes to and details of the deal may not be worked out if a loan is what is decided, but the decision will be taken.

I think that it depends one our signings, we clearly need to sign at least one forward as a replacement for Sturridge and because we have very limited back up options. That could increase to 2 if Origi leaves as well. Wilson seems to offer the threat of goals from outside the box which we just don't have at the moment, I think he would be a useful option at present.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think he could add something, but I think we need to consider his development too. It's a difficult balance.

Also I think Lallana could be on his way in the summer, I don't see much of a role for him as he doesn't suit our style of play anymore.

Brendan's ego so big he wanted to sign himself as a player

Possibly (because it's Wilson and he always seems to have to do that little bit more) but we've seen in the past that some players have played their way into contention for the first team squad on the back of preseason. Gomez and Solanke would be two recent examples, albeit one was before Klopp's arrival.

I know it was slightly different for them as they were set to remain at the club anyway, but say for example a £15m bid came in for Lallana who had an indifferent preseason, it would be hard for the club to turn down if Wilson was performing to a higher level.

Edit: Unless of course we just see him as a cash cow, get as much for him in loan deals before flogging him to the highest bidder.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I used to like Lallana but he is yesterday's man. In the position of attacking midfielders Harry is clearly the coming force. I'm convinced he's already a better option than lallana. Gini, Fabinho and an attacking midfielder is what we need. One of a fit Ox, Shak or Harry for me. I think he'd get loads of games. I actually think it's a complement that they want him to be playing week in week out at a high level.

I don't think that they were kept on preseason form I think that we were probably already planning to keep them to be honest (although I could be wrong).

They were both new signings, but neither were expected start the season as first team players, but they played so well in preseason they couldn't be dropped.

I think a big part of it will be where we see him getting most of his games when he plays. Do we see him as one of the front three or as an attacking midfielder? At present I feel that if he were here he would be as good an option as Origi and a better option that Sturridge in the front three. As an attacking midfield option he would probably be ahead of Lallana but find himself behind Shaqiri and Keita, the problem is we don't always play an attacking midfielder, next season Ox is back as well, so I feel his opportunities in that role would be more limited.

My view is if we sign a couple of top quality forwards sending him on loan to PL side probably makes sense if not then it makes sense to keep him, I don't really see him getting many games in midfield.

Was a beautiful assist. I'd like to see him in the squad next season tbh. 18 goals at that level is excellent, he's only just turned 22. Now or never for him imo. No point in another loan.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yep. Bring him in to the squad and see how he looks or sell now for £30m and move on. Surely if Derby go up they'll make us an offer
