I hope so. I just want him to play as many games as possible.

I'm still not sure his overall game is quite up to a top Premier League team's level but him playing loads of Premier League games this season will give us a better idea.

Worst case he'll score some worldies. He already has two goals for them!

I might have to revise that prediction from May, I reckon they could challenge top 4

With Rodgers, Vardy and Maddison I had them pipped for top four contenders in the summer. I also had us finishing 3rd behind Spurs.
        One tit for another.

Comparing him to Mason Mount is an interesting one. I watched them both at Derby a bit last season. I always felt Mount was more involved in the play, and Wilson more on the periphery. But when Wilson did get involved it was normally decisive (he scored some crazy goals).

            For Derby:
            Wilson: 49 games, 18 goals
            Mount: 44 games, 11 goals

They're both on 3 goals this season. Mount is playing for the better team, but I still think Wilson might outscore him.

He's going under the radar a bit compared to Mount so far this season, but with Mount supposedly worth £60m (according to Klopp!), what does that make Wilson worth?

With all that said, I'd still say he's unlikely to make it at LFC and he'll we'll probably end up cashing in. The bar is just so ridiculously high.

I think because of the positions that they play Mount is always more likely be involved in the game and see more of the ball. Wilson need to influence the game when he gets the opportunities - which I believe he has been doing and work at improving his game such that he gets more opportunities to be involved.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's funny because I would have thought that Wilson would be a good option for the bench. Obviously the key stakeholders would have sat down and it is decided that for Wilsons development, it is better that he goes on loan this season. And the fact that it is to a premier league club - and one that doesn't play dog**** football - ticks all the boxes.

People seem to think that his game isn't suited to the pressing tactics that Klopp likes - but surely that is the aspect of the game that can be trained into someone.

I expected us to add a forward last year. Someone like Werner. And the fact that we didn't, then I would have expected Wilson to stay and provide back up to our front 3. With all those worldies, then I would have expected him to fancy his chances ahead of Divock.

But in reality, the big-boy conversation probably basically said "look Harry, we think you are talented. But right now, even if Salah got injured, there is Shaqiri, Origi, Brewster and even perhaps someone like Gini all ahead of you"

Next summer will obviously be make or break for the lad. But I suspect that next summer might be a pretty big one for LFC in terms of transfers anyway. I think we have a number of players like Lallana, Shaqiri, Origi that will be thinking to themselves that they might fancy first team football.

I think we might move Shaq and Lallana on next summer and Wilson could then come in and take their spot. He's homegrown so that's added value for us. He wouldn't have gotten minutes now, at least not as many as he needs.

He'll have a job getting in the team ahead of Mbappe and Sancho though.

I think we are bring clever and I hope (in some cases) we use our youth to fill squad gaps:

Milner covers midfield and LB - I suspect he'll leave in a free and we use Grujic to replace him in midfield. LB we may buy or see how Larouchi develops

Lallana - will go in a free. I think Grujic gets his minutes

Lovren - will go on a free. One if the young CBs will become 4th choice

Shaq - I am disappointed with Klopps handling of him tbh but we are winning so what do i know. I think he'll leave to get game time. We don't have a young player like him - maybe Wilson but perhaps we buy

Origi - again not sure what he'll do, he is our nominal wide forward cover. I'd want better cover personally but he seems to be happy to play here and there - not easy finding someone to accept that role.

I do wonder if Mane or Mo might leave next summer - Madrid might go big for one of them

I think Wilson will be part of the squad next season, maybe Shaq will stay if he converts to attacking midfielder as opposed to a winger, but I agree with you by and large. Madrid are going to have their work cut out finishing top four as it is, maybe they are not the draw they used to be.

We've joked in the past that that's a step down, but it seriously is these days. Madrid look a long way short of being able to win the CL again which is crazy considering their recent domination of it.

But it’s Madrid - the biggest club in the world, I hear ya though. Mo is the one at 28 for circa €200m that may be an interesting scenario

Not sure I'd want him to go for €300m, he looks to have 6 or 7 years left at the top
