Some lad who was over there with the man in question on Irish radio at the moment and not painting the emergency response in a good light.
10mins for the first emergency responder to arrive and 30mins for the ambulance. Fairly adamant that that's the timeframe involved, along with the police presence on that side of the ground being almost non-existant.

He did say that Liverpool played long balls/long passes effectively at times and that Liverpool were able to do it better than Roma on the night. And he was talking about it as a tactic rather than Liverpool simply being a long ball team.

He actually praised Liverpool in that interview and said that when Barca beat Roma 4-1 he thought a lot of it was down to bad luck and dodgy decisions in Spain, whereas against Liverpool it was Liverpool's "great quality" that led to Roma conceding so much.

He also went on to say that Roma tried to be aggressive and thought they played well for the opening 25 mins but that Roma being less good at covering ground on the night made it difficult for them, as Liverpool were (as Rossi put it) "Much faster than us" at closing down and pressing


Did not see much wrong with his interview to be fair. In the full version he was very clear that the better team won, and that it was quality that won out on the night.

We did play it long. Until we found the passes over their attacking press they were all over us, and once we found a way of getting passed/over it we let rip. I doubt it was a game plan, it was a response to their approach worked out on the fly.
