On our day we are unstoppable and this is where Klopp deserves enormous credit is that for so many of our big European games we have been ‘on our day’. Porto away, City home, Roma home - each game bigger than the other and he has set the teams up in such a way that they have delivered.

Yes it’s Madrid, yes they have experience, yes Klopp has a poor record in finals BUT they have old legs but we will want it more than them and based on the sample of this season we have delivered when it mattered.

Great times - the build up will be amazing

Tancredi Palmeri the journo was also going on about red cards and penalties also blindly ignoring they got lucky first leg with Milners "handball" and also Klavens "handball" 2nd leg, there was also a stone wall penalty on Mane not given and as well as the tackle on Mane there was a shocking tackle on Salah by De Rossi that I thought could have been a red also
We just don't manage games well and this is something that needs to be addressed before next year. I always thought, despite leading 7-4 10 mins from time, that if we did concede a goal we would collapse. It happened at West Brom and to be honest, if we had say 7 mins of injury time, I would have fancied Roma to equal the tie.

Having said that, it's a great feeling that we're in the final.
      Are we winning?

im kind of glad it ended up being a bit of a struggle in the away leg. the big occasion, home support and we were often under the kosh, yet we came through.
great mental preparation for the final, makes them learn to dig in and graft.
we are going to win this. im made up for the team and the supporters everywhere.

one problem though, singing we've won it six times just doesnt have the same rhyming as five times... oh well
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

To me it's legs in the side

How we play is demanding physically. I think the only way we can manage games is by making subs to keep the fitness levels up. Earlier in the season we had enough depth in the squad to do this it's wafer thin now

This is so frequently overlooked. We play at an incredibly high tempo, and must be about the fittest team about (particularly now we don’t have an effective bench).

I think squad depth is the only issue we have.

Here’s hoping Lallana is fit for the final.

If Can is leaving he can **** off.

The side is 'running on fumes'. The thin squad has put too much strain on our players are they are struggling with stamina. And then there's a bloody world cup in the summer.

One of those goals was a really dodgy penalty. We'd have cruised through with a two goal cushion otherwise.

Also, if the first leg dodgy pen hadn't have been given, I reckon Roma would have seen it as a step too far, particularly after Mane scores - it would have nullified their away goal and the second would mean they'd have had to have scored more over the whole tie (8 goals!)

                    Adrenalin will carry us through

Also we get two weeks rest until the final from Brighton.

That should be enough to make Lallana a viable sub.

Shame Can isn't fit actually, he would be a pretty useful sub.

I'm not disputing that. The nerves and inexperience don't come in when we are playing all out. It's the more difficult moments of the game where you need the game management aspect. We tried to shut the game down in the last quarter of the game but conceded 2 goals.

We've discussed game management alot but for me the occasion (perhaps and atmosphere) got to a few.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

For a team that feels hard done by they certainly had at least 3 massive errors go their way.

Yeah I think that makes sense. I also thought Salah was leggy last night and the fact we kept punting balls into spaces for him to run into, I can understand he must not look forward to any defensive / tracking back work.

I don't know how we'd manage the Chelsea game now. We need at least a draw, but a defeat would be bad. Freshness will be a big problem.

My only concern is the final two league games, because we've put in so much effort recently. After that, we can rest for a bit, and be fresh.

Roma looked sharper and fitter. It helps when their league isn't at the same intensity as the Premier League.

Our players are ****ed, which is why I'm not worried about the final. It's all about rest and recovery for now.

I guess we just go all out now in the Chelsea game. Make sure we get the point we need.

If so then rest EVERYONE in the final league game and they'd all have almost two weeks off.

Let Gerrard manage the team for the final game. Send Klopp and the squad off to Dubai or wherever to prepare.
