It is a horribly arrogant article but some of the points in there are valid. If we could consistently control a game like we can at times, then I would have no fear. We can blitz any teams away, but at the same time, that might not be enough to win a game, which is the only infuriating part of our game really, which I hope Klopp addresses as a priority next season. Are we winning?

You could also level the same inconsistencies at Madrid, they blew a 2 goal lead in the last game of the season and tbh in what's essentially a two horse race season after season they've managed to finish third.Originally posted by Fredo View PostIt is a horribly arrogant article but some of the points in there are valid. I hope the confidence at Madrid is as high as they make it out to be and complacency slips in.

The cockier they are the better. I'm loving this. There is no way they'll take a backwards step, no way they'll alter their style and it will obviously play into our hands. We could ****ing destroy them.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostMore of this please Real Madrid, print it out and put all over the dressing rooms. Their arrogance leading to complacency is a big hope for me - if we are at it they’ll have played nothing like us in years.

Don't want to get ahead of myself but we've destroyed Porto, Man City and Roma in the first leg. Seeing the final is effectively a one leg tie, can we destroy them too?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThe cockier they are the better. I'm loving this. Haha what a clown....VVD, Salah and Bobby would walk into that team. Even Robertson, Gini and Mané would have a decent shoutOriginally posted by labourRed View PostI see del Bosque is saying not one LFC player would get in the Real team. Hmmm, I just read that and it sounds like a bluff to me. Maybe they are being arrogant and dismissive. But you don't win so many CLs with the poorest, oldest squad with so many deficiencies (mainly defensive and some in midfield) by being arrogant.
I couldn't fathom why Uefa cheated (warm balls) to ensure there was no way Madrid met us in a two legged affair. Now it sort of makes sense. Real are fully aware what a fresh young team from England with a talisman striker can do to them. Spurs right royally fecked them over twice and would have a third time in the quarters (?) had they not spursy'ed it against Juventus.
In fact any of the current top three out of four (Utd are fecking ****
) would have the young legs and numerous goals to feck over the current Real side. Real know it and Uefa know it. And they're worried. I'm expecting some SERIOUSLY dodgy refereeing in this game.
In summary, they will set up differently against us. Less gung ho. Marcelo will do lots of defending (he's actually a very good defender, just doesn't want to be one). They will let us have the ball and probably win 2-1 with at least two or three major refereeing decisions: one disallowed goal from us or a clear hacking penalty not given and one dubious penalty for Ronaldo to win the balloon door. Maybe a handball against Karius in the penalty area or something. But I don't care. We're in the final and I'm going to enjoy it anyway!!

I think they will make no plans to adjust for our style and will think that their way will prevail regardless of what we do. They could thump us no doubt but if we are at it and in fairness to Klopp for all our big European games this season he has made sure we have been absolutely AT IT then we have a big chance.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThe cockier they are the better. Two weeks rest, Emre & Lallana back in the squad all help towards that end. The one thing that makes me hopeful is when we have started all our Euro knockout games - Porto away, City home and Roma home and the ties were right in the balance our lads have risen to the occasion and blown other sides away!
