Thanjk you.

Lovey finish. Lots of running. And comfortable on the ball.
There’s a lot to like with Jones. Glad he’s finally fit and showing up.
This little formation shift seems to have suited him perfectly. He's been one of our best players for weeks now. Keep this up to the end of the season and if he can stay fit then he might save us a fortune.

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey
I am still unsure, he is playing well for sure; but still not at the standard we need to compete at the top level. Seems to me he is benefiting in the absolute shower of **** our midfield has been this year & looking better than actual.
I don't know if it is just me, but he doesn't seem to be as direct in his play as he used to be. We don't see him getting around the edge of the box cutting inside and looking to.push through the defense. When he broke through I also thought we had someone who would weigh in with goals from outside the box. I am guessing that the club have focused on the positional discipline, but I don't know where that leaves his development. Solid squaddie at the moment.Like others have said, in a more settled and better midfield we might see the more exciting side of his game again.
Im sure he played in a different position when he first broke in though - more of a left sided attacker than the LCM role that he’s fulfilling now?
I was definitely not a fan in his earlier games this season, but of late he seems to have grown into the various midfield roles he's been asked to play. In the first half against Spurs, he was lively, direct and found space at the back stick for his goal. Sadly, he went missing for most of the second half like the rest of them...
He'd be decent as a back-up or Cup tournament starter. We definitely need more polish in the midfield area next season and that means bringing in proven quality - whether that be for consistency, assists, goal-scoring, creative playmaker... any new recruits need to have a record of being available for selection most weeks... and not a sicknote like Ox, Naby and Thiago...
Given he's home grown, if he's half decent, we have to keep him really. And tbf I feel he's taken his chance lately. He's been very unlucky with injuries but I'd definitely keep him.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Keep this form up until the end of the season, and he'll be with us next year, with some credit in the bank too. Exactly what we've needed to see from him. Much more confident with the ball, and quicker at releasing and making decisions. Looks stronger, and holding players off too. Hopefully, he'll stay fit!
He is above Henderson, which pretty much places him in the top 3. HE should be a good squaddie next year.
We will have to work out what to do with Morton and Bajetic. Elliott I reckon should be playing further forward can sub for Salah
Elliott is clearly more of an attacking mid than most of our other CM's I think he played wide right when on loan at Blackburn but that was in a 442. I don't think he has the finishing ability or the pace to play effectively in our forward line, for me he is one of the biggest enigmas in terms of where he would fit in the side. A while back I wondered if he could play the Firmino role, but that looks to be Gakpo's now. I think he either needs to improve his attacking play and evolve into a forward or do what Jones has done in his development and settle into a more regular midfield role.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
