I like him but bloody hell he keeps the ball far too long. He's better when making runs into the box rather than trying to dictate play.

Yes, this. he can fit in anywhere as he is a good footballer, but he is only really effective further forward. I think he is a fantastic squad player. Like a Hoe Gomez for the midfield, but not injured as much

Agreed, seems to always take either to long or an extra touch

I was disappointed with his performance yesterday too. Having slept on it, I suspect he was one of the ring leaders in the celebrations, so being a little below par yesterday was probably understandable.

He still did more than Jota and Elliott yesterday.

I'd keep him and Endo as they can both do a shift in the back 4 if required.

Yeah I agree he is more effective as an attacking player than a deep lying player
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

100%. I suspect he’d be happier here as a bit part player as he’s one of us than a starter in a bottom 10 side elsewhere. An able deputy

                31 appearances, 17 starts, 3 goals, 4 assists.

He’s contributed well this season - and, he can improve, he certainly has the talent. Still only 24 plus he is local. You need ideally, someone who embodies what it means and now Trent is off it is Jones and Quansah.

Quansah is a wool. Curtis is the Scouser in our team and he stays, no doubt.

                    Good old Hoe Gomez.

Yeah don't see Jones moving on & no need to move him on. He does have talent but needs to improve on certain things in his game if he's ever going to be a regular starter. He's technically sound & works hard but is just too slow to move the ball & gets caught in possession more often than necessary. With lots of comings and goings in the summer, keeping Jones as a motivated squad player would be a good move, he's going nowhere imo.

Really? He’s been at the club since he was a kid and he is local if not a scouser, I think definitely understands what the club is about.

As a fellow Wool, it pisses me off when a player or a supporter is dismissed for being a Wool. If it’s a scouser making the comment t it’s snobbery and if you’re not a scouser you can quite frankly **** right off!

That’s not aimed at you specifically Kenneth, I don’t know where you’re from.

Quansah is from Warrington tbf, which is stretching it even for Wool territory, never mind Scouse.

Yeah, I don't feel like that, I'm from the same area as Quansah and therefore a woolyback. I think there is value in having a Scouser in the side, it helps ground the team with the supporters and the city, but agree about unhealthy attitudes to those coming into the city for games down the M56. But it's true that Quansah is a fellow wool.

So I found this interesting. I think he's saying England could have a more attacking 6 in Jones for some games but he definitely rates him which given he's worked closely with him is something.

                                +1 It's cringey as ****

I once got called a "wool" by somebody from ****ing Lydiate of all places when I was a sales manager in Maghull. I'm from St Helens
Told them that they weren't even a "maghullyback" and were a bumpkin idiot from Lydiate.

Then won a bet that I lived closer to the ground than them.
