How about he improve his skills receiving the ball there? He's not 10 and not practiced enough. Something that basic could screw us. So frustrating to have lost Kelleher at this time.

It is now, but at the same time we have gotten a lot of great service fromn the best in the world, so missing time at the tail end of his career is not so bad given what we have gained from him.Originally posted by danperkins View PostRidiculous amount of time on the sidelines for a keeper ffs, he's a bit of a crock which is becoming a theme.
Plus we have a quality number two available who would be even more comfortable as long as the outfield players do not keep making his life tougher by playing to his weaker foot every time he plays.

I’m bemused by the way people are talking about Mamardashvili tbh. His career with us has barely started and he’s causing shudders

Time for players to learn to pass to Mamar's left foot and stop pinging fast balls to his right side.

Don't know if it means that necessarily. But yeah one way or another, the club were always going to take up that option of an additional year.

Means he is off to Saudi this summerOriginally posted by Mark79 View PostExcellent. People can talk about his availability, but as long he's giving at least 30+ games a season, then it totally justifies keeping him.

I don’t think I’ve seen a GK that is so good one on one and stops what seem like certain goals. He’s won us so many games in his time at the club including that one amazing header.

Ali for me is our best every keeper. Not even the great Ray Clemence tops him as a LFC keeper in my eyes.
And to the bit I highlighted in your post, I think after Ali is gone we will be a long long time before we see someone as good as Ali between the sticks for us. Most on here will probably be as old as SB is now by the time that keeper comes around.
Marma I think will be really good for us and having been posting on here for some time that I rated him much higher than Kelleher. But think the difference (in time) between Marma and Ali may be that Marma goes on to be a top class keeper, world class even, but Ali was/is the guy that the world class guys could/can look up at and go "wow!"
