Opening game in Klopp's first full season was 4-3 against Arsenal. Following year was 3-3 Watford. Last year was 4-1 Norwich, but could easily have been 4-3. West Ham 3 years ago was the only game we started off sound defensively.

Think people are reading too much into the Leeds match and our post crowning form. People were worried about Salah's form pre-season and look what happened when it mattered. I expect to see a much better performance against Chelsea and Arsenal and even if it isn't, Mo will just have to win it on his own again.

Despite everything that Klopp and the players are saying, its inevitable that there will be an element of complacency creeping in since being crowned Premier League Champions. The belief and self-assurance is sky high (and rightly so) but a lack of concentration and split second slower to the ball or to react to shots will cost us points if they're not bang at it. We've seen that with Leeds on Saturday. Everyone will see us with a massive target on our backs and want to beat us. We might be back on our perch, but that's going to make teams even more determined to knock us back off...
I have no doubt a combination of Klopp team talks and good dose of reality will sort us out. It must also be really weird playing with no fans and that does take away some of the energy levels and passion in the players - it has to. Pity as Anfield was an absolute fortress and the noise levels at kick-off scared the **** out of most opposition for the first fifteen to twenty minutes...

To be fair I don't think there is much he could have done with the 1st and 3rd goals, there was poor communication between him and VVD for the 2nd but VVD was the one at fault there.

would be happy for a gomez/matip game or two; VVD is amazing but needs to put the cigar down

Looked a bit rusty to put it mildly. He’ll get back to his clean sheet ways soon hopefully once Virg cuts out the sloppiness

He's class but maybe he's bought into the ballon d'or hype. I'm not too concerned, I'm sure he'll pull himself up.

He and Vurg seem to have definitely lost a bit of concentration.

Yeah the split second late thing, imo, is that he hasn’t got it into his head that we aren’t the defensive force we once were and he needs to be even more switched on.

Will be fine in long term but need him now to step up while we iron out some issues.
