Whats amazing with Alisson is how much 'catching' he does.

I've never seen a net minder so adept at holding onto the ball. Take that one yesterday, he just hoovered it up. It was hit pretty hard, though straight at him, but I reckon most glovesman would deflect it.

Lets not forget Pepe. He was an excellent keeper. Aside from Pepe we've had some utter ****e between Bruce and Alisson

Pepe doesn’t even get close to Alisson for me - had a couple of very good years and then he went to ****e before he left.

Alisson also seems to be a lucky keeper i.e. if he makes an error he doesn’t seem to get punished by conceding a goal.....that’s another great attribute

I’d argue the difference between him and any keeper I’ve seen at the club in my lifetime is remarkable ......Grobbelar was the most successful but he always had a mistake in him - Alisson just seems unflappable.

We've never had a better goalkeeper than this imo. The guy is a monster. Strikers know that beating VVD isn't going to happen and try to avoid it, and I think strikers are taking early shots to avoid getting close to Allison. Just the presence of those two give us a major psychological advantage.
