If Salah gets close to his achievements last year and a goalkeeper is declared signing of the season (how many clean sheets must that equate to?), plus we've added Kieta, Fabinho and Shaq at a minimum. How the **** do United finish ahead of that?If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I don't think United will finish ahead of us this coming season and, to be fair, nor was I referring to anything other than the parts of his predictions that you highlighted.
Given the additions we have made to last season's team, City are the only team that I think may finish ahead of us (and will be hoping I am wrong on that)
Was just saying that the three of Scratch's predictions that you highlighted are not really all that outlandish considering we had the top scorer last season along with the signing of the season and still finished 4th.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Aye, what you said was perfectly fine and I knew what you meant. I just found it funny that he thinks we'll have the top scorer, the top keeper (score loads, don't concede many), yet still finish behind a mediocre United team who's Ieague position flattered them last year.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostI don't think United will finish ahead of us this coming season and, to be fair, nor was I referring to anything other than the parts of his predictions that you highlighted.

Reading back, my tone probably wasn't representative of my actual thoughts, it was supposed to be lighthearted, haha. When I wrote the first post, I was anticipating a reply like yours, so if you think I was replying aggressively to it, I wasn't. I was still just shocked at the initial United suggestion.

I just think it won't all gel properly straight away, and that whilst Salah will be top scorer, can we expect Mane and Firmino to get to 20 goals each again? Man U will do their normal, boring 1-0 victories, hence 2nd and whilst we will keep many clean sheets (ergo Alisson best buy), we just won't click at the start of the season and will leave ourselves too much to do to catch up.Originally posted by RedReet View PostAye, what you said was perfectly fine and I knew what you meant. Plus, whenever I predict us to do well, we **** up. So I refrain from doing so now.

We drew 12 games last year.
If half of them are converted to wins then thats an extra 12 points.
Thats good enough to put us into second place, and if a couple of those draws to wins are against other top four teams then it gives us a really strong footing to progress still further.
Vvd and becker will be a fantastic partnership, and fabinho in front if them will also help reduce the amount of space for opposition attackers and help reduce panic in lovren.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

That's fair enough, just found it an odd combination of predictions.Originally posted by Scratch View PostI just think it won't all gel properly straight away, and that whilst Salah will be top scorer, can we expect Mane and Firmino to get to 20 goals each again? Personally I think Firmino will score more goals than he did last year. I'd be surprised if Mane didn't at least match his output, so if you Salah prediction is right then we've another great season to look forward to.
Probably will take a while to gel, but the world cup will help us on that front as most teams will probably be a bit disjointed until September.
I can't wait.
