Really good point.Originally posted by baitman View PostWe drew 12 games last year.
If half of them are converted to wins then thats an extra 12 points.
Thats good enough to put us into second place, and if a couple of those draws to wins are against other top four teams then it gives us a really strong footing to progress still further.
Vvd and becker will be a fantastic partnership, and fabinho in front if them will also help reduce the amount of space for opposition attackers and help reduce panic in lovren.
To even come close we need to target 90+ points.
converting half our draws last year takes us to 87, if we converted a few loses too we could get close to 95. Huge ask though, it means all of our signings settling in right away and the front 3 carrying on where they left off last season.
Aim for 30 wins and see what happens.

the most excited I have ever been for a new season, Klopp has genuinely gotten us to be proper title contenders. Just need to get over the line now and win trophies.

Everyone sees us as the main threat to City. Journalists, pundits, bookies, neutral fans. It's some turnaround under Klopp when you consider how strong some of our rivals are, or at least should be.Originally posted by Parm View Postthe most excited I have ever been for a new season, Klopp has genuinely gotten us to be proper title contenders. Although you are joking, if West Ham do miraculously cause an upset, it will be a high scoring game. Our last 2 openers had 13 goals, can see that trend continuing.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostIt's going to be a ****fest on day 1 when we fail to break down West Ham

Such a shame we play City on January 1st. Would have been good to have a potential playoff in April, May or even have it in our hands to claw back or put 3 points distance between us.
Didn't count for much in the end, but that 13/14 match with Coutinho scoring the winner was brilliant at the time.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Whilst Charging out and simultaneously crushing his ballsOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostI think we'll swarm West Ham and win by a few goals. An opening day clean sheet with an Alisson wonder save from a Mark Noble shot would go down very nicely indeed
That would be lovely
Noble is a filthy ****er.
