Think Keita was a big miss in the centre tbh. With him there Wijnaldum and Milner can play quick short passes and have the ball get returned to them quickly when they change position and so on.

We looked a lot more static in the centre today and a lot of our play in the middle was plodding compared to our opening three games.

Still we got three points and the players have a fortnight to get sharp again so all is good.

None of our front three are really firing on all 8 cylinders yet & still we are 4 from 4 having scored 9 goals along the way. It’s only a matter of time till it all comes together & we give someone a right tonking.

Think that is something we share with City. The same way to get at them also works against us. But We, just like City, are at a level where it is a very difficult tactic to pull off.

Except for that was the midfield three that got us to the CL final.

Henderson as with a few of the guys who were at the World Cup looks a bit off the pace. Other than that though.

                Nope.

A striker is there to score.

If he score then by that very definition he's had a good game.

Here here. laborious wasn’t it. Hendo slows us to a walking place & puts us under pressure with his inability to turn & beat a man. Ordinary performance today but a wins a win. Onwards & upwards.

I wish sky hadn't taken Carragher back. I know we didn't play well but his continual moaning and carping made me feel like putting a gun to the telly.
It's like he was listening to his mate gary giving out about the scum and decided he was going to do the same.

He was right though. We need to take the criticism because it was deserved.
                      Are we winning?

So if a striker was to misplace every pass, miss 2 tap ins, give away a dozen free kicks and get caught off side 6 times and screw up every other attack. But also score once. He’s had a good game, has he?

I love Hendo but not with the other 2. No surprise they didn't get a look in when we changed it.

He was absolutely ****ing unbearable, don't expect him to be praising us to the hilt after that performance but he was ****ing relentless in slagging us off, couldn't even give away a free kick on the halfway line without it being some sort of crisis. Think the only bit of praise he gave us all game was for Van Dijk's header late on.

A lot of issues to pick apart here but I think the general issue is that we didn’t really turn up today so to go away with a win is massive. Maybe it’s just a midday kick off thing.

Only good performance came from Firmimo. His work rate was incredible.

Oh and Shaqiri was good when he came on.

Tactically, there’s an obvious issue of being pressed at the back and actually outnumbered that we need to sort out. It’s seems quite an obvious solution but we need to bypass the press , whether that means a chip ball or passing it around with better quality.

I thought performance wise it didn't really work for us today, I thought Leicester played really well and made it dificult for us, so credit to them, but we managed to get the win.

I know Bobby scored today from the corner, but in open play, him and Salah really haven't been at it this season, they both had chances early on, Bobby had a shot saved and the rebound came out to Salah and he put it wide. IMO both of those should have scored their respective chances.

Our pressing game wasn't really at it and the midfield didn't really look right today, I can see what people have said about Henderson slowing things down, and I can see that to a certain extent, I thought that we invited pressure onto ourselves which played into Leicester's hands.

Defensively I thought that TAA was a bt exposed and I thought VVD had a few dodgy moments but Gomez was outstanding.

Alisson's mistake was stupid hopefully he will learn for that, a couple of times after that he just cleared his lines when the situation arose again, which is looking positive.

That said, as well as Leicester played and as poor as we were we won the game, which is a great thing to be able to do. 4 games 4 wins
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The Garth Crooks approach to match analysis. Firmino aint in the team cause he's lethal finisher, he's there for his creativity, fitness and pressing. He was poo for much for the game. A goal from a corner doesn't polish that turd.
