He looks a good player, I think him playing regularly at somewhere like Leicester is the right move for him, if he continues to develop you could see him going to one of the top 6 clubs in a year or two.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

we are miles away from our best in these 4 fixtures, we should be encouraged rather than negative.
shame points from like for like fixtures from last season when we got 70 odd and city got 100.
next 2 months is huge

I thought the same about Shaqiri he didn't offer much in a creative sense, but did what he needed to to see the game out including helping out defensively, which I think was something some of us were worried that we might not get from him.
IMO two of the front three haven't got going yet, Mane has largely carried them through so far. This has contributed to some performances that haven't been at the level we would have liked to have seen, but that said we have been winning games, which is a good sign. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Absolutely. Salah was poor today, how the hell did he not score or at least hit the target after 4 mins? And Firmino looking clumsy is a strange sight. And then Virgil looking ropey at the other end and being rescued by Gomez on a couple of occasions. Strange times, but very early in the season and we aren't in full swing yet. But four wins in a row, what a great foundation for the rest of the season.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Nail on the head.Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostVery happy with the win. We dug deep and got there in the end. Alisson, will no doubt learn from his error. He'll have to realise very quickly he won't get time on the ball in the prem as you do in Italy.
I still think the balance of the midfield is not right. The combination today didn't really work. I also think Klopp made the right decision taking Henderson off for Keita. He wasn't the worse player on the pitch but the fact that he can't play on the half turn and often plays the ball back in the direction it came from does hinder us a little and can sometimes put our players under pressure.
I know I've said it but we really miss Oxlade-Chamberlain. I'm looking forward to seeing how Klopp works out what our best midfield combo is. I would like to see Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Keita in the future but as of right now Milner is deserves to keep his shirt.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I think you have a point mate. I definitely think we miss his drive in midfield. Hopefully Keita will offer this, albeit he's not as powerful. For me I'm not convinced Milner and Henderson work well together in midfield. It has to be one or the other. And if I had to choose one it'd be Milner. As I said earlier, Henderson wasn't our worst player on the pitch (even if his inability to play on the half turn frustrates me) but we looked better when he came off and Wijnaldum dropped deep. Like I said I'm intrigued to see how Klopp finds the right blend in midfield.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostPart of me thinks last seasons form came from the balance in midfield the Ox gave us by driving forward. Keita can do the same and Lallana too.

At the moment it’s Gini or Hendo. Gini was pretty nonexistent until he switched position.

Which still makes him a better ref than nearly all other PL refs. Strangely.Originally posted by Chris View PostWas alright for 30mins then began giving them everything and just stood there watching one of their players haul Van Dijk down in the area and did **** all. Could easily have been a foul on Alisson to (though hard to have sympathy with us on that one). He was pretty crap. One tit for another.

He's had 3 goal involvements in 4 games, 2 of them proving to be match winning goals. Should probably have scored a few more and most definitely should have more assists with the amount he's put on a plate for Mo.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostFirmino continues to stink out place. Hope he returns from International duty rejuvenated.
Says a lot about his level last year that this is stinking the place out.
One of TAW boys made an interesting point too. Basically clubs know they can't stop Salah, so best they can do is stop the supply to him, so they are focusing more on Firmino this year as most of our attacks go through him.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Aye, said similar to my brother in pre-season, that Mané should benefit from the extra attention Salah will get this year.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostWhich is why Mane is getting the goals
Even Robbo must be a big factor, now teams know how much of a threat he is. Pep bigging up our FB's won't have harmed things either. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
