I think city will drop 4-5 points tbh.

We have a solid defence just need more to happen up the other end.

We still have points to drop against Spurs and Chelsea so I don't think we'll do it.

We probably need to win at least 8 of our remaining 9 games, we have only won 2 of our last 6, we need a big turn around in form.

On paper you might think that we have the easier fixtures, but our 4 remaining away games are against teams fighting relegation so they aren't going to be easy, we also have Spurs and Chelsea at home, and Wolves who are currently the best of the rest, there are no easy games

Especially if Utd haven't secured 4th by then

Positives from today : Another clean sheet and Everton was likely the last team we'll play who'll set up to get a 0-0. Chelsea Spurs, Burnley and the rest all have something to play for, either a top 4 spot or PL survival so won't be as negative the Bitters were, we'll have more opportunities in the final 3rd.

Burnley would be ecstatic with a point Anfield; I can't see them taking too many risks while the scores are level.

If they drop 5 points then that means that there are 2 ways we can win it:
                  1) By drawing or losing 1 game (or less) and winning the rest to win it by points.
                  2) By drawing 2 games and winning the rest, and winning it on GD. City's GD is currently +7 compared to ours, so essentially we have to win every game by 1 goal more than they do.

While the GD is do-able, at the moment we don't look like out doing City so because we have really struggled away from home, our best chance of doing that would probably be by winning our home games 5-0. I really think the only way it could happen is option 1, which means winning 8 out of 9.

I have been actually, feeling a lot better.

I'm starting to believe that either way for Liverpool FC, I'll walk away and focus on other things.

This season has been a real draw of course but it hurts when opportunity slips and it all goes wrong. Must be how Arsenal and Spurs fans felt when Leicester won the league.

The way we've been playing there is no point in looking beyond the next game. Burnley will do exactly what Everton, United, Munich, Leicester and West Ham have done to us as it is an effective way to play against us.

yeah there is a plan to play against us now maybe the madness style of play of last season is the way forward as we have the defence to deal with it now

exactly how I see it. Kill teams off in the first half an hour. Our functional approach this season has been based on a solid defence... now unfortunately it's up to other areas of the pitch to step up. There is most definitely a plan to play against us and it's up to klopp to fix that... playing Fab/Gini & Henderson is not the way to go imo.

I would rather lose out on the league going for it big time and losing the odd game than lose it drawing with ****e who should be being blown away

Especially in the league, we can't afford to be so conservative in the face of this kind of set up. Have to believe in going all out for the win over preserving the draw.

When it comes down to it, I dont think drawing away to Everton or United is going to lose us the title, if we had of lost either one of those perhaps but a draw whilst not ideal is hardly surprising and not the end of the world

We need maximum points from our next 2 games and then its over to you City, we'll be 5 points clear of them
