The playing out third gear stuff is a cliché. A more accurate assessment would be not at our best but even this would apply to our attacking play. Yesterday all other parts of our game we were very good. Even the front three had a good game pressing and harrying players into mistakes, but the decision making nor finishing were there. Are we winning?

Though Fredo is right, the performance at Spurs was actually 'top gear' in every aspect, bar the attacking play in the final third of the pitch. Leicester was much more of a '3rd gear' performance because we were below our best in most areas of the game.Originally posted by Norbs View PostIt might be a cliché but it's an accurate assessment.

it's not great seeing players looking to get themselves onto the score sheet rather than finding a teammate. It's cost us before. It's not often that you get the opportunity to stuff Spurs by several goals at their place, would have been great to see. And g.d. is worth one extra point at the end of the season...
Well, you know what I meant
But it very nearly cost us, we got lucky with the penalty decision.

We should have blitzed them really. Plenty on chances to put them away. Mane & Salah taking either the wrong option or being too greedy
Other than that its hard to fault us too much. Well deserved win that and the scoreline completely flattered SpursBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
