8 games to play and one point from safety, with the four relegation candidates immediately ahead all having worse GDs. Seems totally mental to get relegated from that situation.

          They've been woeful this season.

I don't know how much of it is down to having funding cut off by FSG and how much is down to the Manager.

Surely physical aspect has to come into it - surely it must hurt at least a bit... if a woman chests a ball at pace in the wrong area (if you know what I mean) much like a free kick in the nads for men is a 'moment in time' stopper. Muscle and body strength plays to the fast pace of the men's game, so as women's training and investment improves so will the speed and skill of the game, surely? But saying that, there'll always be a marked difference in physicality between the two though.

Edit - great goal that by Rinsola Babajide btw

Everton women vs Liverpool women playing at the moment, 1-0 Everton. It’s free to air on LFCTV and it’s a good game.

If there was money in it FSG would be all over it.

...but there isn't, so they won't.

TV coverage and support at the grounds has definitely increased and improved but there's zero cash in it for anyone. The standard of football has certianly increased too - but the keepers are still utterly woeful. A bit like Karius. He'd struggle to win golden gloves in the Womens Premier League.

It's pretty poor what's happened with the women's team at LFC. Only today a big announcement is being made re a new TV deal with Sky and the BBC, and yet we're lagging behind. It's a bad look.

My main personal issue with this is...and there must be others in the same boat.......I'm all for greater exposure and investment in the women's game, and far greater inclusivity in junior/grassroots football, but....I don't watch it. I'm not interested in it. I suppose that might change as more money goes into it and the standard gets better. I watched most of the England games in the last World Cup, and I enjoyed it, but to be completely honest I've never watched LFC's women's team and I could count on two hands the amount of women's games I've watched in my life.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Hmmmm. But these deals will get bigger and bigger as the game gets better. To say that there’s no money involved when there’s billions of people watching it is ridiculous. FSG are lagging behind compared to the likes of City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester to name a few, who’ve invested a lot and have a more coherent structure which involves the women’s team as well as their other elite teams.
