Great start, you would think at some point we will click. We seem to be getting results without playing anywhere near our best and also we are missing so many chances.

its not good enough but it'll do until we start to click againOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostP12 W9 D3 L0
Outstanding start to the season.
Wait until we kick into first gear

yeh, we've previously set the bar quite high so only a return to our very best will be good enough.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Bobby is simply way off and Mane is so erratic and wasteful lately. Shaq is looking for passes and through balls that nobody else in our squad would go for and he will score and create himself. Has to be a starter.

So many times last year we were drawing or losing soon after giving someone a battering and I was lamenting that we didn't spread the goals out more.
We are spreading them out this season and getting the points but I feel the same as everyone else. We just haven't seemed to click this season. Some terrible first touch and passing decisions have been awful.
It's frustrating to watch instead of exciting to watch so far this season.

Odd, isn't it? Good news is we always improve in the second half of the season so we've got it all to look forward to. Shaq was a fantastic buy and cheap. He's just pushing us on that bit extra.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostWe are all waiting for us to ‘click’ yet after 1/3 of the season we are top of the table with our best points + goal difference EVER in the premier league. Not at this stage last season we weren’t. We didn’t hit our best until November and then really only started blowing teams away in Jan.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostThese are the games where we would have got 5 last year and City regularly score a hat full. We've not been in the pack at this stage of the season for more years than I care to remember.
To have a chance, you need to be in the pack and not worry about what everyone else is doing.
We're right up there. We've not ****ed it up yet. The team is capable of so much more.
Anyone having a grumble needs to find something else to do with their lives, because if you're not pleased with this situation, I worry for your state of mind.Oh I don't know.

Agreed.
Klopp said it well in his PC, we can’t conpare our wins to City’s wins. At the moment we are pretty much matching them result for result. We really can’t do much better in terms of results than we are right now.
We could do with Everton and Utd getting some points today.
Our progress compared to 12 months ago is staggering.Modifying post.

Ah yes, makes more senseOriginally posted by dom9 View PostOverall, I mean. In the last 25 odd years. Waaaaaay too many to remember.

Yeah, some seasons everything was done by the new year. Still being in the competitions that matter and capable of challenging for them, without really having felt like we're playing well definitely says something.Like blood on iron

I recall feeling so ridiculously dispirited this time last year. The season felt over before it had got going. An amazing run to the CL and some champagne football rescued it somewhat, but the Autumn was thoroughly miserable.Oh I don't know.
