Plus their goal was definitely offside.

I don’t know if it’s his ginger hair but Sean Dyche shouldn’t have a shaved head, or it’s just really dirty. The colours all weird. I felt so uncomfortable looking at it.

I think we may have to get used to it, it will happen again in the next few weeks against weaker sides.

Contain teams for 60-70 mins, bring on the big guns to finish them off. Makes more sense to do that even at risk of dropping a few points than play them non stop until one of them gets injured and the we lose their impact for weeks.

You could argue just rest one at a time, but the impact of bringing both (or all 3) against tired legs, as well as the mental boost to the rest of our players, should be plenty to get goals in the final 20 mins. As long as we are still in the game at that point...

I was going to say I will be surprised if he makes 7 changes again in one game, I thought 3 or 4 at the most... 7 is a risk. But after the Bournemouth game is Napoli so thinking about it now, I can see what Klopp is doing. It's a very tough fixture list and we have a tough away fixture to Bournemouth followed by a huge game against a top Napoli side in the champs league.

Gomez injury couldn't have came at a worse time but the lads on the periphery now really have to earn their wages now. It's such a tough ask, we simply cannot lose in the league as we need to keep pace with City, that must win game vs Napoli comes right before yet again another ****ing must win game against ...... the Mancs!! Oh, and they can rest players as they are already through. Skip 2 more games and we have Arsenal & City back to back!! Crazy schedule and I do completely understand now why Klopp is doing what he is doing.

In fairness, i don't think he has much of a choice.

I honestly can't see how anyone can't be pleased with Klopp and the team yesterday, we made seven changes and loads of fringe players got vital minutes, Keita and Matip looked very good, Moreno's ****ness was a bit confirmed, Hendo was good and Sturridge too. Took a while to get into a groove I thought but Klopp put Firmino and Salah on the bench for a reason, thought the biggest change for us though was getting rid of Moreno and moving Milner to the left. **** Milner is good.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I think a lot of it is about these players shaking off their rustiness and believing they are good enough (which they clearly are). Even Origi, so much for him being the forgotten man, has contributed last night.
                Are we winning?

Its no wonder a manager like Klopp can get this level of effort and performance out of him. Imagine someone like Mark Hughes expecting you to play like Maradona every week whem you've got Charlie Adam alongside you shooting from the centre circle every match

You're saying that you can't even comprehend anyone having a issue with the approach of making wholesale changes in a pl match, us going behind and then winning it off the bench? OK.

Arguing in favour of rotation isn't even relevant to anyone but Bob, the complaints have been that we made too many changes at once, an argument largely demonstrated by how the game went. The response that we won in the end so whatevs seems blasé to me. The team selection was bonkers, it didn't really work (predictably) but we did well to turn the scoreline around, so obviously have to be very happy overall.

It worked and it was justified. How can you say it didn't when we won the game? We even equalised before the substitions came on. Even if we'd lost points it would have been justified because players need to rest.

If we have a big squad, then it's imperative we use it when it's necessary. It's been an argument that has been done for years even during the days when Rafa played a second string team away at a lower league club in the FA cup when we never had the quality in depth. It worked out well in the grand scheme of things and it will work out well hopefully again.

First half hour i couldnt see us scoring and poor gomez going off signafied what could of been a thouroughly misserable night with way too many bad challenges from Burnley imo. What a turnaround! Naby looks like some player now and the player we hoped we would be getting, good performance from everyone after the first half hour (not sure about alberto though). Any news on Gomez yet?

                                Disagree. It did work 100%.

The starting 11 is only part of the story. Match day squad is a larger part of the story. And the overall squad is the largest part of the story.

If you look at it from the perspective that we only needed to play 2 of your best 3 players for 25 minutes each in order achieve a 3-1 at Burnley, then that strikes me as being incredibly efficient.

The point of having a squad is that you can use it to its full capacity. The point of having the best players is that they win you games. If they win those games from the bench or from the starting 11 is moot. It's the end result that matters.

Imagine being Burnley yesterday having given it everything with a hugely physical approach, then seeing Firmino and Salah coming onto the pitch to rip them apart. Must have been pretty soul destroying for them. And I'm all for that.
                                Oh I don't know.
