The starting 11 is only part of the story. Match day squad is a larger part of the story. And the overall squad is the largest part of the story.

If you look at it from the perspective that we only needed to play 2 of your best 3 players for 25 minutes each in order achieve a 3-1 at Burnley, then that strikes me as being incredibly efficient.

The point of having a squad is that you can use it to its full capacity. The point of having the best players is that they win you games. If they win those games from the bench or from the starting 11 is moot. It's the end result that matters.

Imagine being Burnley yesterday having given it everything with a hugely physical approach, then seeing Firmino and Salah coming onto the pitch to rip them apart. Must have been pretty soul destroying for them. And I'm all for that.
I'd argue that Alisson and VVD are 2 of our 3 best players but I know what you mean.

It is true that we have an embarrassment of riches. The back ups generally aren't too shabby either (what is our best midfield?).

      It's absolutely fantastic.
      Oh I don't know.

Arguing in favour of rotation isn't even relevant to anyone but Bob, the complaints have been that we made too many changes at once, an argument largely demonstrated by how the game went. The response that we won in the end so whatevs seems blasé to me. The team selection was bonkers, it didn't really work (predictably) but we did well to turn the scoreline around, so obviously have to be very happy overall.

I think others have argued what I would have so don't feel the need to, but yes, right now JCDNW. I mean FFS, we are having the best start our club has had to a top flight season, ever.

Keita is clearly benefitting from getting some minutes, and Matip too, Moreno, well the less said the better. Actually I thought our improvement last night was not least getting him off and Milner in his place.

So, Jurgen could limit his playing time even more IMO, he's just not good enough, even for the reserves.
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

And then imagine that Alison hadn't got to the top corner in the last minute. Or the ball had been travelling a few mph more, we would have dropped 2 points. That wasn't a controlled win; the execution of an inevitably successful plan. It was a close result and the approach was unduly risky.

You also said we wouldn't win before the team was even announced so credit where it's due hey?

                Right.

So we also have an incredible goalkeeper too who contributes more than any other in living memory.

Football is rarely controlled in that sense.
                Oh I don't know.

**** me, you don't think we will have other close games? Not every game is a piss easy win. We won 3-1. Yeah our keeper made a worldy of a save but so did theirs against Keita.

Sorry, although what you say is true, I'm not sure how that's relevant.

It's extending your "what if Burnley had scored at the end" argument.

                          Ok, to what end?

Never mind, probably time to move on.

We are absolutely hunting for a disagreement after this one.

Been winning for too long there’s **** all to argue about, even DanP and Chris have cordial discussion now FFs, and I am finding myself agreeing with Fredo. What is going on.

Topic wise we have only got “how many players is it prudent to rotate” on the ‘online-spat generator’ right now.

A few weeks ago- We can't keep picking the same players. Klopp clearly doesn't rate the new signings, which is why he isn't picking them. £100m wasted. If you spend £50m on a player, he should be ready to play.

Klopp makes some changes- What the **** is he doing. Pick your best team every week. He's a ****ing mad man.

Whatever the outcome- Errr, well I was still right because...

                                Match threads, eh!
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
